A method for controlling a multi-phase rotary electric machine is disclosed. The stator of the machine is controlled by a control bridge having a plurality of parallel mounted switching arms, with each arm comprising a high-side switch and a low-side switch connected at a center tap connected to a phase of said rotary electric machine. The machine operates as a generator and is connected to an electrical network on board a motor vehicle. The method involves short-circuiting a phase winding of the stator when a measurement of the voltage of said network exceeds a first predetermined value, and after this, activating a switching arm, the center tap of which is connected to said at least one short-circuited phase winding, during which the intensity in the short-circuited winding is measured, if the measured intensity is positive, the high-side switch of said activated switching arm is moved to the closed position, otherwise, it is moved to the open position.

Method for controlling an electric rotary machine operating as a generator and corresponding control system for reducing the voltage in the network in the event of a cutoff

Device (DMT) arranged to provide an additional voltage, when the heat engine starts up, for the electrical power supply of the rotating electrical machine (AD). This additional voltage is added to a rated voltage of the on-board electrical system (RB) provided by a battery (BAT). The device comprises a second voltage source (Ucap) and electronic switches (K, K), each comprising at least one MOSFET transistor. At least one MOSFET transistor (K) of the switches, mounted in series with the second voltage source, is controlled in linear mode at the end of the startup of the heat engine. Advantageously, the device comprises current control loops for controlling the transistors in linear mode.

An electricity supply system having double power-storage devices which is suitable for implementation in an electric or hybrid motor vehicle. The supply system is intended for being connected to a power network of the vehicle. The supply system is of the type that includes a first power-storage device, having a first specific energy, a first specific power and a first operating voltage (Ue), and a second power-storage device, having a second specific energy that is lower than the first specific energy, a second specific power that is higher than the first specific power and a second operating voltage (Up) that is higher than the first operating voltage (Ue). The first and second power-storage devices are electrically coupled by a bidirectional DC-DC converter controlled in accordance with the operating states of the vehicle. The DC-DC converter includes a floating capacitor connected in series between the first and second power-storage devices.

The common-mode voltage (V0) is determined such as to balance switching losses and conduction losses between the switches.

A method of controlling a supercapacitor energy storage unit (), included in a motor vehicle micro-hybrid system, is disclosed. A belt () collaborates with the drive member of the rotary electrical machine and with the combustion engine in order that the latter can be started using the belt rotationally driven by the electrical machine in a first direction (A). A tensioner () presses against a length () of the belt that runs between the electrical machine and the combustion engine. As the rotary electrical machine rotates in a second direction (B) the opposite of the first, it is possible for the tensioner to be brought from a stopped position into a position for beginning to start the combustion engine. The movement from the stopped position to the position for beginning to start being accompanied by a lengthening of said length of belt and/or by an increase in the tension in this length of belt.
