Described herein are techniques to ensure a user using an external device is authorized to connect and connecting to a correct implantable medical device using a wireless communication protocol. A request for authorization is sent to the external device from the implantable medical device, and the authorization can be provided by an authorization pulse sent using the implantable medical device charger over the inductive link between the charging device and the implanted device. The authorization pulse can be trusted because the inductive link is short range, ensuring the patient is aware of the connection to the implanted device. Once the implanted device receives the authorization pulse, it may finalize the pairing over the first connection.

Authorizing programming of an implanted device using second factor

A frame member for use in constructing screen walls, screen doors, window screens and related structures. The frame member has an elongate channel-containing section and an elongate plate section that extends from the channel-containing section. The channel-containing section has a longitudinally extending channel that has a narrow section and a relatively wider section. The narrow section of the channel defines an entrance to the channel. The channel is sized for receiving spline that secures a screen to the frame member. The channel-containing section has a rear wall and a pair of sidewalls. Each sidewall has an outer surface. The channel-containing section has a pair of front wall sections. Each front wall section is on a corresponding side of the channel entrance. The elongate plate section has a first surface and an opposite second surface and is substantially perpendicular to the rear wall of the channel-containing section. The first surface of the elongate plate section is substantially coplanar with an outer surface of one of the sidewalls of the channel-containing section.

Frame member to which screen material can be attached for forming screen doors, screen walls and window screens

A spline apparatus is provided which includes a spline section and a spline channel cover section. The spline apparatus includes an intermediate section that is intermediate and joined to the spline section and a spline channel cover section. A frame member is also provided that can be used with the aforesaid spline apparatus. A center divider is also provided which can be used with the aforesaid frame member and spline apparatus to form a complete main frame assembly that can retain a screen insert and/or glazed insert. An 'R' channel member is also provided for use with the aforesaid frame member.
