Methods and systems for manufacturing a swallowable sensor device are disclosed. Such a method includes mechanically coupling a plurality of internal components, wherein the plurality of internal components includes a printed circuit board having a plurality of projections extending radially outward. A cavity is filled with a potting material, and the mechanically coupled components are inserted into the cavity. The cavity may be pre-filled with the potting material, or may be filled after the mechanically coupled components have been inserted therein. A distal end of each projection abuts against a wall of the cavity thereby preventing the potting material from covering each distal end. The cavity is sealed with a cap causing the potting material to harden within the sealed cavity to form a housing of the swallowable sensor device, wherein the distal end of each projection is exposed to an external environment of the swallowable sensor device.

An RFID device includes a substrate, an electrically conductive pattern formed on the substrate configured to operate as an antenna by separating a portion of a first device section from a second device section, and an electrical circuit mounted on the substrate that is electrically coupled to the antenna. Methods, systems, and apparatuses are described for the dispensing of radio frequency identification (RFID) tags. In a first aspect of the present invention, a stack of tags is described. In one aspect, the tags are arranged in the stack so that alternate parallel ends of the tags in the stack are removably attached to next tags in the stack by an adhesive material. In an alternative aspect, the tags are arranged in the stack so that the same ends of the tags are removably attached to next tags in the stack by the adhesive material. In a further aspect of the present invention, a dispenser for dispensing tags is described. The dispenser includes a container defining a volume. The container has an outer surface having a slot shaped opening therethrough that opens into the volume. A stack of tags are present in the container. The tags are removably attached to adjacent tags in the stack in an alternating fan-folded configuration. An end of a first tag in the stack extends through the slot shaped opening out of the container. The first tag can be removed from the container by pulling the end to detach the first tag from the stack and cause an end of a next tag in the stack to extend through the slot shaped opening out of the container.

Methods, systems, and apparatuses for tracking items automatically are described. A radio frequency identification (RFID) tag is used with a material tracking system to enable the identification and locating of aviation assets in an airport environment. For example, passive (e.g., non-battery) RFID tags are attached to an aviation asset. Antennas are placed at locations where monitoring of assets is necessary. A local controller and RFID reader use the antennas to communicate with the passive RFID tags to determine the identity and location of the asset.
