The invention relates to a method for severing or removing a biological structure, especially bones, by using a water jet cutting device (R) from which a pressurized severing medium () is discharged. According to the invention, the severing medium () should be projected onto the biological structure in a pulsed manner.

A device for converting a rotational movement into an axial movement includes driven planetary rollers () and a sliding body () that can be axially displaced by means of the planetary rollers (). The planetary rollers () are fixed axially in a driven carrier (), are rotationally mounted and are provided with grooves (). The grooves () of these planetary rollers () engage in a thread-type groove of the sliding body (). In the center of the carrier () a bearing body () is provided, which engages in the grooves (). The grooves (and) have a mutually adapted gradient, and the planetary rollers () and the bearing body () engage with one another without slip. Also the carrier () and the bearing body () engage with one another without slip. The carrier () and the bearing body () are driven in a rotational relationship, which guarantees that no slip occurs between the planetary rollers () and the sliding body ().

Device for converting a rotational movement into an axial movement

A device for converting rotational movement into axial movement includes planetary rollers driven by a drive shaft projecting from a drive device and maintained peripherally at a same distance, in addition to a push body axially displaced by the planetary rollers. These planetary rollers are peripherally fixed on a support which is driven around the axis thereof, the rollers being rotationally mounted and provided with peripheral grooves or threaded grooves; the support is connected in a fixed manner to the drive shaft rotating around its axis; the planetary rollers engage in at least one thread-like groove of the push body that is displaced along the axis of the support by means of their peripheral grooves or threaded grooves. The support drives the planetary rollers; the push body is embodied as a hollow body encompassing the planetary rollers; a bearing body that has peripheral bearing grooves or threaded grooves and that can rotate independently around its axis relative to the drive shafts and concentrically inside the planetary rollers is provided in the center of the support.

The invention relates to a planetary gear with little play that comprises, for one stage of reduction each, at least one sun wheel, an elastically deformable internal geared wheel, planet wheels that are rotatably received by a planetary carrier and that act on the one hand on the sun wheel and on the other hand on the internal geared wheel, thereby transmitting power, and a housing. The aim of the invention is to provide a planetary gear that is simple in design and reliable in operation. To this end, the elastically deformable internal geared wheel is configured as an outer wall zone of the housing.

Distraction device for moving apart two bone sections

The invention concerns a device for the conversion of rotary into axial movement with planet rollers supported at an equal peripheral distance and driven by a drive shaft, and with a thrust body that is axially-displaceable through the planet rollers which are supported to be rotatable around their fixed axes in an axle-driven carrier and with drive groove via which the planet rollers, driven by their carrier, engage in at least one screw-type groove on the thrust body which is displaceable along the axis of the carrier; the device should be of simple construction and have as low a frictional loss arising from the movement conversion as possible. For this purpose, the carrier is fixed to the drive shaft rotating in its axle. There is no power transmission during movement conversion between the drive shaft and the carrier via the parts that are tooth-engaged in one another.
