A camshaft adjuster () with a stator () that has an outer part () for concentrically holding a rotor () with vanes () arranged around the rotor () and a segment () projecting from the outer part () for engaging between two vanes () of the rotor (), in order to form, together with the two vanes (), pressure chambers () of the camshaft adjuster (). A cover () is located on an axial side of the ring-shaped outer part, and the cover includes a cavity for holding hydraulic fluid from the pressure chambers (). The segment () may also have a cavity () for holding a hydraulic fluid from the pressure chambers ().

Arrangement of a volume accumulator in a camshaft adjuster

A hydraulic vane-type camshaft adjuster, having a stator and a rotor arranged therein such that the rotor can rotate during control mode, wherein the rotor and the stator form at least two working chambers and are separated by a vane. A locking pin immobilizes the rotor in a rotationally fixed manner in relation to the stator wherein the locking pin is connected to an active accumulator, which deflects the pin if required. The active accumulator is arranged below a rotation axis on a camshaft. A method is also provided.

Multi-locking of a camshaft adjuster, and method for operating a camshaft adjuster

A hydraulic camshaft adjuster for changing the control times of gas exchange valves of an internal combustion engine, designed as a vane cell camshaft adjuster. A control device inserted in the vane selectively opens and interrupts a flow connection between the working chambers. A locking device prevents relative motion between the rotor and the stator in that the rotor is fastened to the stator at a vane position. A switching valve, which has three working ports, a P port and a T port, can be moved into different control positions by an adjusting element,&#x2014;wherein in the control position, the P port communicates with the working chambers via the A port, the B port is blocked at the switching valve, and the T port communicates with the control device of the vanes via the C port. In a control position provided as a starting strategy for the switching valve the A port communicates with the P port and the working chambers, the B port communicates with the T port and the working chambers, and the C port communicates with the control device of the vanes and the T port.

Central locking for a camshaft adjuster

A hydraulic camshaft adjuster, including a rotor and a stator and a hydraulic medium management system, by which at least two chambers separated by a rotor-fixed vane can be or are connected to a hydraulic medium supply device and/or hydraulic medium discharge device by an interposed hydraulic valve, wherein the vane contains a switchable hydraulic medium control device designed for selective release and interruption of a fluid connection from one chamber to the other chamber. A locking device for excluding a rotational movement between the rotor and the stator locks the rotor to the stator in a vane position in which the volume of the two chambers is approximately equal, and includes a pin, interlockable with a stator-fixed component, designed to control the inflow and/or outflow of hydraulic medium to/from a chamber.

A stator () for a camshaft adjuster (). The stator () has an outer part () for concentrically holding a rotor () with vanes () arranged around the rotor () and a segment () projecting from the outer part () for engaging between two vanes () of the rotor (), in order to form, together with the two vanes (), pressure chambers () of the camshaft adjuster (). Here, the segment () has a cavity () for holding a hydraulic fluid from the pressure chambers ().

Arrangement of a volume accumulator

A camshaft adjuster having a first component, a second component rotatable relative to the first component within an angular range, and a locking device for locking the first component relative to the second component. The locking device includes a first locking bolt and a second locking bolt on the first component and a central slotted guide on the second component, and wherein the two locking bolts are movably guided between a locking position and an unlocking position and engage in the central slotted guide in a central angular position relative to one another in their locking position. At least one terminal slotted guide, in which the first locking bolt or the second locking bolt engages in its locking position in a terminal angular position differing from the central angular position of the components, is arranged on the second component.

Camshaft adjuster

An arrangement of a camshaft phaser () which allows a variable pressure boost in that a rotary piston () of the camshaft phaser () either creates or eliminates a fluid connection between a first pair of working chambers and a second pair of working chambers arranged in the axial direction ().

A directional valve () for controlling a hydraulic oil flow from a pressure port () via working chambers of a camshaft adjuster () to a tank port (). The directional valve () includes an accumulator port () for conducting at least a part of the hydraulic oil flowing out of a working chamber into a volume accumulator () before said hydraulic oil flows out into the tank port (), and the accumulator port () is connected via a passage () to the pressure port ().

A camshaft adjuster which has a control valve and at least one pressure-controlled positioning valve which is connected to a pair of control chambers. The control chambers each have an early chamber and a late chamber and one of the control chambers is designed in such a manner that, in an unenergized basic position of the control valve, in order to set a middle position, the smaller of the early and late chambers of the one of the control chambers is connected to a supply line and the larger of the early and late chambers of the one of the control chambers is connected to a removal line.

A pressure accumulator includes a housing having a housing cavity, a piston axially displaceable in the housing cavity between a first final position and a second final position and having a pressure surface which together with a wall of the housing cavity delimits at least partially a reservoir connectable to an ICE consumer in a fluid-conveying manner, an energy store cooperating with the piston, the piston being displaceable against the force of the energy store from the first final position into the second final position in that the reservoir is acted on by pressure using a pressure medium, and a locking device for locking the piston in the second final position. A locking tube is connected to the piston and supported within the housing in an axially shiftable manner, and lockable at an end of the housing facing away from the reservoir with the aid of a locking pin.

Pressure accumulator

A camshaft adjuster () having a vane-type design with a stator () and a rotor (), which can be rotated relative to the stator (), and at least two pressure chambers () formed between the stator () and the rotor (). The pressure chambers () are separated from each other by a radially oriented vane () of the rotor (), wherein the pressure chambers () can be alternately supplied with a pressure medium. The vane () has a radial face () and two lateral faces () that are directed toward the pressure chambers (). The radial face () is sealed by a U-shaped sealing element () having a main limb () and two side limbs () seated against the lateral faces (). The pressure chambers () of the camshaft adjuster () are sealed particularly reliably by designing check valves () on the side limbs () of the sealing element () and by designing, on the lateral faces () of the vane (), outlets for the pressure medium with which the check valves () are associated.
