The scent-dispensing animal collar accessory is adapted for use with a collar that is worn by an animal. The scent-dispensing animal collar accessory is a container that is attached to the collar. The container is used to contain a fragrance device. The fragrance device is a chemical device that releases one or more aroma compounds. Air flow through the container will disperse the one or more aroma compounds into the atmosphere in a manner that deemphasizes existing aromas that may be associated with the animal. The scent-dispensing animal collar comprises a container, an attachment device, and a fragrance device.

A method of making a sintered ceramic proppant may include providing a kaolin clay. The kaolin clay may include an AlOcontent no greater than about 46% by weight, and a KO content no greater than 0.1% by weight. The kaolin clay may have a particle size distribution such that greater than 70% of the particles have an equivalent spherical diameter of less than 0.5 microns as measured by Sedigraph, and a shape factor less than about 18. The method may further include blunging the kaolin clay, agglomerating the kaolin clay, and sintering the agglomerated kaolin clay to produce a sintered ceramic proppant. The kaolin clay may have an A-bob Hercules viscosity of at least about 3,300 rpm at 18 kilodyne-cm and 70% solids.

The present invention provides systems and methods for electronically-capturing a destination address of a package and for using the destination address to automate a package pre-load operation. An embodiment of the invention includes a compression system for compressing the destination address as a compressed MaxiCode symbol, a smart shipping label system for generating a shipping label with a compressed MaxiCode and a pre-load assist system for generating package handling instructions from the electronically-captured destination address.

A gripping assembly with gripping members, as part of a grapple attachment, used to grasp and manipulate elongated objects, for example pipe, is described. Due to the gripping action of the gripping members and tilt control capabilities of the grapple attachment, total positive control of the pipe is maintained, even if the gripping assembly picks up pipe off center. The grapple attachment is able to be used on all pipe surface types, including pipe surfaces that are dirty, snow or ice covered. The gripping members are configured to prevent damage to the pipe and to adjacent pipes, and will not crush the pipe.

A ball launching apparatus for batting practice having a ramp allowing an operator to propel a baseball or softball along the ramp such that it becomes airborne and may be batted by a batter. A plurality of the ramps may be connected together in a staggered fashion or used individually. Each of the ramps has two grooves, one within the other to accommodate a baseball or softball respectively.

An attachment that is configured for attachment to an arm of a piece of construction equipment. The attachment includes a pair of grapple mechanisms mounted on a main beam. Each grapple mechanism includes opposing grab arms mounted to a grab arm housing. The attachment can fine adjust the positions of the pipe ends relative to one another until the ends align with each other, at which point the pipe ends can be welded or otherwise secured to each other while being held in position by the grapple mechanisms.

In one embodiment, the gripping members include a support member having a main beam structure opening extending laterally therethrough that is configured to receive a main beam structure of the gripping assembly.

The present invention and method is a training system for baseball and softball batters containing but not limited to a manually operated mobile batting tee and an illustrated board on which the tee is maneuvered. The operator is positioned at the opposite end of the board from home plate. The device is operated by placing a ball on the bristled head and using the adjustable handle to push the mobile tee to marked locations where the ball is then hit by the batter. After the ball is struck the operator pulls the tee back to it's original location where another ball is loaded and the cycle is repeated. Ball elevation is adjusted by releasing the tension device and moving the stem up or down. For young players the device with ball can be placed in front of home plate and pulled rearward to simulate a pitched ball.
