A system for tagging and tracking assets anywhere in the world under any environmental condition. Geo-Referencing Identification (GRID) tag, GRID satellite (GRIDSAT) tag and associated cloud infrastructure and user interface meet the objectives of a robust global tagging and tracking system. The GRID tag can be used to identify pieces of equipment or storage containers for low-value or aggregate equipment. GRID tags communicate with each other using a mesh radio in each tag. The GRIDSAT tag consists of a satellite modem, global positioning system (GPS) receiver, and mesh radio and can be used by itself for high-value items, large shipping containers, or vehicles and vessels to track and locate them, or used in concert with GRID tags that communicate with each other and with the GRIDSAT tag by means of mesh radio.

Geo-referencing identification (GRID) tag

A system for providing environmental wave data from floating buoys and equipment is based on the GRID tag system, which includes Geo-Referencing Identification (GRID) tag, GRID satellite (GRIDSAT) tag and associated cloud infrastructure and user interface meet the objectives of a robust global tagging and tracking system. The wave characterization module (WCM) system adds wave detection and computation to the GRID tag system. The WCM tag can be used to identify and track floating equipment while also providing local wave characteristics while communicating with other tags via mesh radio. The WCM-sat tag includes a satellite modem, global positioning system (GPS) receiver, and mesh radio to send wave and location data to a remote user. A WCM buoy includes the WCM-sat equipment in a free-floating buoy to report remote oceanic conditions.

System and method for measuring wave characteristics on a body of water

A system for digitization of work processes in a power plant having a gas turbine including at least one processor system having a controller. The processor receives power plant data and the controller preferably controls the gas turbine. At least one interface device is communicatively coupled to the processor system for communicating the data received from the processor system to at least one of a mobile computing system and a computer system carried by a mobile user. The controller is capable of receiving instructions from the mobile user to control the gas turbine. The system further includes a local area network (LAN) in communication with the at least one interface device. At least one antenna assembly having a transceiver system for transmitting and receiving signals from the at least one interface device is provided. A network server system is communicatively coupled to the at least one antenna assembly via a wireless communication network, the server computer including a database for storing application data accessible by the mobile user.

Method and system for predicting remaining life for motors featuring on-line insulation condition monitor

Systems, methods and computer program products calculate the life remaining in a machine, such as an electric motor, or the life remaining in individual components within a machine. Life remaining calculations are based on information collected from multiple sources, including operator input data, historical data, and lookup tables. Using this information the remaining useful life of the machine is calculated based on quantitative data, standard design life limits and on reliability analysis such that continuous historical parameter data is not required to analyze or assess the life of the machine.

Systems, methods and computer program products for assessing the health of an electric motor

The reliability and remaining time before failure for electric motor systems and the like is determined with an ascertained statistical confidence based on continually monitored system parameters and a database comprised of historical failure mode/cause and repair data concerning the same motor and/or similar motor systems. A computational process is followed that relies upon hierarchical failure-tree structures, Weibull probability distributions and directed causal networks and which updates the probabilities and models used to forecast the remaining time before system failure based on the monitored parameters. Motor system operational parameter data is continually monitored at the site of the motor system and up-loaded via wireless or other communications network to a remote computer system where a database is maintained and reliability analysis is performed.

Method and system for determining motor reliability

A system and method for establishing communications in a power plant comprises a power generation system having an interface for establishing wireless communication, at least one power plant auxiliary system having an interface for enabling wireless communication, and a wireless communications link, having at least two redundant wireless communications channels, established between the power generation system and the power plant auxiliary system. The two redundant wireless communications channels may be two redundant wireless radio frequency channels. The communications link may be established utilizing a network communications controller which wirelessly communicates with the power generation system and the power plant auxiliary system. One or more of the power plant auxiliary systems may communicate with the network communications controller through a repeater.
