The present application pertains to a coiled tubing injector system. The system comprises a coiled tubing injector; an injector tilt configured to be mounted to a trailer wherein the injector tilt is configured to receive the coiled tubing injector; a securing mechanism to secure the coiled tubing injector to the injector tilt; and a sensor configured to detect whether the securing mechanism is positioned to substantially secure the coiled tubing injector to the injector tilt. Advantageously, the system is configured such that the injector can only be tilted if the sensor detects that securing mechanism is positioned to substantially secure the coiled tubing injector to the injector tilt.

Injector tilt safety method and apparatus

The present invention pertains novel coil tubing units and methods of stabbing. The coiled tubing unit has a tubing reel; a tubing guide operably connected to the tubing reel; and an injector operably connected to the tubing guide. The injector is configured to move toward or away from the tubing reel. This advantageously allows for more convenient, effective, and/or potentially safer stabbing methods to be employed.

In an exemplary embodiment, the actuator assemblage includes a biasing chamber having a biasing member disposed therein, wherein the biasing member is configured to apply a force to the sliding sleeve to move the sliding sleeve from the first to the second position.

Apparatus and method for providing wellbore isolation

An actuatable wellbore isolation assembly comprising a housing generally defining an axial flowbore and comprising a mandrel portion, a first end portion, and a second end portion, a radially expandable isolating member positioned circumferentially about a portion of the housing, a sliding sleeve circumferentially positioned about a portion of the mandrel of the cylindrical housing, the sliding sleeve being movable from, a first position in which the sliding sleeve retains the expandable isolating member in a narrower non-expanded conformation to a second position in which the sliding sleeve does not retain the expandable isolating member in the narrower non-expanded conformation, and an actuator assemblage configured to selectively allow movement of the sliding sleeve from the first position to the second position.

An apparatus comprising a tubular body defining a flowbore, a first valve that, when activated, restricts fluid communication via the flowbore in a first direction and allows fluid communication in a second direction, and, when deactivated, allows fluid communication in the first and second directions, a first sleeve slidable from a first to a second position that, when in the first position, the first valve is activated, and, when in the second position, the first valve is deactivated, a second valve, that, when activated, restricts fluid communication in the first direction and allows fluid communication in the second direction, and, when deactivated, allows fluid communication in the first and second directions, and a second sleeve slidable from a first to a second position, that, when in the first position, the second valve is deactivated, and, when in the second position, the second valve is activated.

Embodiments of the hybrid tool string include coiled tubing and jointed tubing, as well as a means typically located at the connection of the coiled and jointed tubing for sealing the fluid flowpath through the bore of the hybrid tool string. Embodiments of the hybrid tool string may use a pressure-activated valve tool attached in series between the coiled tubing and the jointed tubing, which allows for sealing of the bore by application of pressure. Embodiments of the pressure-activated valve tool may use a flapper in conjunction with a sleeve to seal the bore. The novel hybrid tool string may be used to service a well.

A method of locating a wellbore feature, comprising delivering a mechanical position determination tool into the wellbore, selectively causing an undulating curvature of the mechanical position determination tool in response to a change in a fluid pressure, moving the mechanical position determination tool along a longitudinal length of the wellbore, and sensing a change in resistance to continued movement of the mechanical position determination tool. A mechanical position location tool for a wellbore, comprising pressure actuated elements configured to cooperate to selectively provide an unactuated state in which the mechanical position location tool lies substantially along a longitudinal axis and the pressure actuated elements further configured to cooperate to selectively lie increasingly deviated from the longitudinal axis in response to a change in pressure applied to the mechanical position location tool.
