Grommet assembly having electrical power receptacles for use with a work surface

A grommet assembly includes, in one embodiment, a single-piece housing having an open top end, an open bottom end, an interior region, an interior wall surrounding the interior region and a housing outer surface. A receptacle support structure is located within the interior region and attached to the interior wall for supporting an electrical power receptacle. A bottom cover is attached to the housing at the open bottom end. The bottom cover includes sidewalls, an interior side facing the interior region of the housing and an opposite exterior side. The bottom cover is configured so that the sidewalls are located within the interior region of the housing when the bottom cover is completely attached to the housing. The grommet assembly further including a fastener operable to secure the housing at an opening formed in a work surface. The fastener includes an upper surface that is configured to engage a lower surface of the work surface.

Grommet assembly having electrical power receptacle

A height-adjustable table includes a worktop having a top surface, a bottom surface and height-adjustable legs. An electrical power center is attached to the bottom surface of the worktop and has a housing, electrical interface connectors mounted to the housing and electrically connected to each other, and an electrical power source receptacle electrically connected to the electrical interface connectors. The table has a first power cable having a first electrical interface connector electrically connected to one of the electrical interface connectors of the power center and a second electrical interface connector secured to the bottom surface of the worktop. The table includes a second power cable having a first electrical interface connector electrically connected to another of the electrical interface connectors of the power center and a second electrical interface connector secured to the bottom surface of the worktop.

Height-adjustable table with flexible electrical power distribution cable

A height-adjustable table comprising a worktop having a top surface, a bottom surface, a first end and an opposite second end. The table has a first adjustable leg having an upper end and a lower end wherein the upper end is attached to the bottom surface of the worktop, a first base member attached to the lower end of the first adjustable leg, a second adjustable leg having an upper end and a lower end wherein the upper end of the second adjustable leg is attached to the bottom surface of the worktop, and a second base member attached to the lower end of the second adjustable leg. The adjustable legs allow the height of the worktop to be increased or decreased. The table has an electrical power center attached to the bottom surface of the worktop. The electrical power center moves with the worktop as the height of the worktop is adjusted. The power center has a housing, a pair of electrical interface connectors mounted to the housing and electrically connected to each other, and at least one electrical power source receptacle that is electrically connected to the pair of electrical interface connectors. The table also has a first power cable having first and second electrical interface connectors, wherein the first electrical interface connector of the first power cable is electrically connected to one of the pair of the electrical interface connectors of the power center. The table also has a first bracket attached to the bottom surface of the worktop. The first bracket secures the second electrical interface connector of the first power cable to the bottom surface of the worktop. The table includes a second power cable having first and second electrical interface connectors. The first electrical interface connector of the second power cable is electrically connected to the other one of the pair of electrical interface connectors of the power center. The table also includes a second bracket attached to the bottom surface of the worktop. The second bracket secures the second electrical interface connector of the second power cable to the bottom surface of the worktop.

An apparatus for providing utility receptacles and HDMI cables at a location on a work surface has a bottom panel member and a wall structure attached to the bottom panel member. The wall structure defines an interior region. An interior panel is positioned within the interior region and attached to the wall structure to form upper and lower compartments. An electrical power device is positioned within the interior region and attached to the wall structure. The electrical power device has an electrical power receptacle and device charging ports. A HDMI signal switcher is in the lower compartment and has HDMI input and output connectors. The apparatus includes a plurality of HDMI cables. Each HDMI cable extends from a corresponding opening in the interior panel and has a first HDMI connector connected to a corresponding HDMI input connector and a second HDMI connector for connection to an HDMI signal source device.

Apparatus for providing utility receptacles and cables at a selected location on a workstation

A portable apparatus for providing electrical power receptacles and device charging ports has a bottom panel member having a top side and a bottom side. A wall structure is attached and substantially perpendicular to the top side of the bottom panel member. The wall structure defines an interior region and comprises a plurality of sections wherein each section has an opening therein. Electrical power devices are located within the interior region. Each electrical power device is attached to a corresponding section of the wall structure and has an electrical power receptacle and device charging ports that are positioned within the opening in the corresponding section of the wall structure. A top panel member covers the interior region defined by the wall structure. The wall structure is attached to the top panel member. An electrical power cable is electrically connected to all of the electrical power devices.

Portable device having electric outlets that provide AC electrical power and electrical power for charging electronic communication devices

A portable apparatus that provides electrical power receptacles and device charging ports. The portable apparatus has a base member and a plurality of post members connected to the base member. Each post member has an electrical power receptacle that provides electrical power and an electrical power device having a device charging port that provides a voltage suitable for charging and powering devices such as cell phones, cameras, iPads, Ipods and similar devices. In a preferred embodiment, the electrical power device includes an additional electrical power receptacle. Each post member has an interior region and electrical wiring located with the interior region which provides electrical power to the electrical power receptacles and the electrical power device. The portable apparatus also has a top member connected to the post members and an intermediate support member that is attached to the post members and located between the top member and the base member.

Portable apparatus having electrical power receptacles and device charging ports

An apparatus for providing HDMI cables and utility receptacles on a work surface. The apparatus has a housing which has an interior region, a lower portion and an upper portion. The upper portion has an opening that provides access to the interior region. The lower portion comprises wall sections attached to and extending downwardly from the upper portion. The upper portion has a flange portion that is angulated with respect to the wall sections. A bottom panel is attached to the wall sections. The housing is sized such that the lower portion fits into a through-hole in a work surface and the flange portion contacts and rests upon portions of the work surface extending about the through-hole in the work surface. A HDMI signal switching device is within the interior region and has a plurality of HDMI input connectors and an HDMI output connector. The apparatus includes at least one HDMI cable having a first HDMI connector connected to a corresponding HDMI input connector of the HDMI signal switching device and second HDMI connector for connection to an external HDMI signal source device. An HDMI output connector is attached to the bottom panel and connected to the HDMI output connector.

The present invention is directed to an apparatus for providing utility receptacles and cables at a selected location on a work station that has a work surface. The apparatus comprises a housing comprising a lower portion and an upper portion. The upper portion has a perimeter and a flange portion that extends about the entire perimeter. The upper portion of the housing has a top opening that is bounded by the flange portion. The lower portion of the housing comprises lengthwise and widthwise walls that are attached to and extend downwardly from the upper portion of the housing. The housing further comprises a bottom panel that is attached to the lengthwise and widthwise walls. The housing has an interior region that is accessible through top opening. The housing is sized so that the lower portion of the housing fits into a through-hole in a work surface of a work station and the flange portion contacts and rests upon the portion of the work surface that extends about the through-hole in the work surface. The apparatus further comprises a receptacle support structure located within the interior region and attached to the lower portion of the housing at a predetermined location above the bottom panel so as to form a lower compartment beneath the receptacle support structure. The receptacle support structure is generally centrally located within the interior region and further includes an interior. The receptacle support structure further includes a plurality of through-holes therein that lead to the lower compartment. A plurality of utility receptacles are attached or mounted to the receptacle support structure. The plurality of utility receptacles comprises AC power receptacles, telephone jacks and USB device charging ports. A HDMI signal switching device is located within the lower compartment and comprises a plurality of HDMI input connectors and a HDMI output connector. The apparatus further comprises a plurality of HDMI cables. Each cable extends from a corresponding opening in the receptacle support structure and has a first HDMI connector connected to a corresponding HDMI input connector of the HDMI signal switching device and second HDMI connector for connection to an external source device. The apparatus further comprises a HDMI output connector attached to the bottom panel of the housing and connected to the HDMI output connector of the HDMI signal switching device.
