A method for controlling a hybrid motor vehicle which has an electromotive internal combustion engine, which is operated by an electric accumulator and is operatively connected to a generator for the charging of the accumulator, and a control unit for controlling the drive unit, in particular the internal combustion engine as a function of the charge state of the accumulator. So that the internal combustion engine is operated advantageously, in addition to a control process as a function of the charge state of the accumulator, in order to protect the control unit and/or for the effective operation thereof, the internal combustion engine is controlled, at least as a function of a retrieved continuous power rating of the accumulator, a temperature of the accumulator, of vibrations occurring in the motor vehicle and/or of a downtime of the internal combustion engine.

Method for controlling a hybrid vehicle

An electrical drive unit for a motor vehicle, with the drive unit including a wheel hub drive that drives a vehicle wheel. The wheel hub drive has a sealing element which is affected by friction and by means of which the interior of the wheel hub drive is sealed off from the surroundings in an airtight manner. A ventilation device is provided by which a pressure difference between the prevailing air pressure in the interior of the wheel hub drive and the prevailing air pressure of the surrounding air can be compensated by displacing volumes of air.

Electrical drive unit for a motor vehicle

A safety clutch for an electric drive which includes an electric motor and a shaft which is driven thereby. A transmission of torque between the electric motor and the shaft can be brought about by at least one connecting element. A controllable locking device via which an interruption in the transmission of torque between the electric motor and the shaft can be brought about, is assigned to the connecting element. The use of the safety clutch in an electric drive for a wheeled vehicle is disclosed, a controller evaluating the transmission of torque between the electric motor and the shaft using a vehicle state, and when a fault state is detected the controller transmitting a control signal to the controllable locking device, as a result of which an interruption is brought about in the transmission of torque between the electric motor and the shaft.

Safety clutch for an electric drive and use of the safety clutch in a wheeled vehicle

An electrical drive unit for a motor vehicle, with the drive unit including a wheel-hub drive that drives a vehicle wheel and that is arranged on the vehicle wheel by a wheel bearing, the wheel-hub drive having a rotor and a stator. According to the invention, a sealing device is provided between the rotor and the stator, and/or between the rotor and a component adjacent to the rotor, and/or between the stator and a component adjacent to the stator. A sealing surface of the sealing device is arranged on a radius with the center point around a virtual tilt axis of the wheel bearing, or substantially along a tangent to the radius.

A mass balancing device for balancing free inertial forces and/or free moments of inertia of a reciprocating internal combustion engine (). The mass balancing device includes two balancer shafts () rotating at the same rotational speed in opposite directions of rotation, and a transmission () arranged between the crankshaft () of the internal combustion engine and the balancer shafts. The transmission drives the balancer shafts at a transmission ratio of crankshaft rotational speed to the balancer shaft rotational speed that is non-uniform over the crankshaft angle such that the angular speed of the balancer shafts is at the maximum at the piston dead centers. The mass balancing device is intended to be configured for an internal combustion engine of multi-cylinder design and the mean value of the transmission ratio is intended to be 1:2.

A belt drive is provided which includes a circulating belt () which is driven by at least one drive element () and which drives at least one driven element (). At least one first tensioning device () acts upon the belt () in the slack strand and at least one second tensioning device acts in the tightened strand. To prevent or reduce jumps and/or transverse oscillations of the belt (), the second device () guides the belt () and at least one third device () which is arranged radially inside the belt drive, which is suitable, optionally, limits deviations of the belt (). A planetary gear mechanism which has at least one drive unit, at least one output unit and a freewheel unit. The freewheel unit is provided for blocking a moment which is introduced at the output unit.

A tensioner for a traction member, in particular a belt of a traction drive for an internal combustion engine, includes a base constructed for rotation about a rotation axis and having a pivot arm. The pivot arm has a free end for connection of a rotatable tension roller which bears against a traction member. A spring member urges the pivot arm to seek a forced engagement of the tension roller upon the traction member. Disposed between the base and the pivot arm is a damping element for damping an adjusting movement of the pivot arm. A pivot bearing supporting one portion of the base on a machine part for rotation about the rotation axis, whereby the rotation of the base in relation to the machine part is realized by an actuator to thereby adjust a biasing force of the traction member.

A traction device for an internal combustion engine includes a tensioning device having two lever arms of different lengths which are rigidly connected together and which are pivotally mounted for rotation about a rotation axis. Each of the lever arms supports on one end a tension pulley. The tensioning device is provided for positioning the tension pulleys on a pulling strand and a return strand by imposing an elastic force thereon.

Tensioning device for traction means such as belts or chains

A drive belt of an internal combustion engine has a first pulley mounted on a crankshaft of the internal combustion engine, and a second pulley mounted on a shaft of a starter generator of the internal combustion engine. A belt is looped about both pulleys. A tensioner includes two tensioning arms, each of which loading a belt run of the belt and operating either as load-carrying belt run or non-load carrying belt run. Both tensioning arms are disposed to pivot about a rotation axis, with tensioning rollers mounted onto the tensioning arms and spring-biased against the belt. The tensioning arm disposed respectively upon the load-carrying belt run is urged into a stop position by a force applied by the belt.
