The present invention relates to a coil device for magnetic resonance imaging and/or magnetic resonance spectroscopy. The present invention further relates to a coil array of such coil devices. Moreover, the present invention relates to a power supply device for a coil device for magnetic resonance imaging and/or spectroscopy as well as to a signal receiving device for a coil device for magnetic resonance imaging and/or spectroscopy. Furthermore, the present invention relates to an apparatus for magnetic resonance imaging and/or magnetic resonance spectroscopy as well as to a method for performing magnetic resonance imaging and/or magnetic resonance spectroscopy.

Apparatus and method for magnetic resonance imaging and/or magnetic resonance spectroscopy

A method for the magnetic resonance examination of a measurement object is described, in which a measurement sequence is used in which the magnetic resonance response to the transmitted signal during transmission is measured. It is provided that a correction signal corresponding to the transmitted signal be generated and be used for correction of the response signal. To this end, the correction signal is modulated by a phase value and an amplitude value. The phase value and the amplitude value are automatically and iteratively customized for optimum correction of the response signal by an optimization method using a respective present state value of the measurement signal. Further, a radio-frequency unit () is described that can be used to carry out the method according to the invention.

Method for the magnetic resonance examination of a measurement object and to a radio-frequency unit of a magnetic resonance imaging scanner

The invention relates to a dual-modality imaging system and a method for dual-modality imaging of an imaged object, wherein a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) apparatus for acquiring MRI data and at least one optical imaging detector for acquiring optical imaging data are arranged to acquire the MRI data and the optical imaging data of the imaged object () simultaneously, the at least one optical imaging detector being a non-contact optical imaging detector.

Dual-modality imaging

The invention relates to a method and an apparatus for measuring the position and the orientation of an interventional device within a magnetic resonance imaging apparatus, the magnetic resonance image apparatus providing a static magnetic field Band magnetic field gradients with known magnetic flux densities and directions. The invention includes attaching a Faraday sensor to the interventional device, the Faraday sensor being connected to an optical measuring device. The method also includes using the optical measuring device for measuring the rotation of the plane of polarization of linearly polarized light in the Faraday sensor, while exposing the interventional device: (i) to the static magnetic field B, and (ii) to the field gradients in all three directions of space in addition to the static magnetic field B. Method and apparatus for detecting the position and the orientation of an interventional device

In a 3D magnetic resonance angiography (MRA) method, a region of interest, containing a major pulmonary vessel, is defined in an examination subject, and the subject is injected with a contrast agent bolus and a number of 3D magnetic resonance angiography data sets are obtained from the examination subject before, during and after arrival of the bolus in the region of interest. A slice from each of the data sets is selected which contains the region of interest, and an average region of interest signal as a function of time is determined and stored as a reference time curve. In the respective selected slices, a signal-time curve is identified and each signal-time curve is cross-correlated with the reference time curve. The cross-correlation results are used to form a new three-dimensional data set containing arterial and venous correlation maps. Maximum intensity projections are computed from the arterial and venous correlation maps for producing a visualized image of the pulmonary vasculature in the region of interest, the arteries and veins in the respective maximum intensity projections being clearly distinguishable.
