The present invention relates to a check valve unit () having a shaft bearing body () with an at least substantially cylindrical mounting portion () extending along an axial direction (A) and an axially extending valve shaft () mounted therein. The latter is displaceable along the axial direction (A). The check valve unit () further includes a valve head () with a sealing surface (), wherein the valve head () is disposed on a distal end () of the valve shaft () in the axial direction (A), the distal end () facing away from the mounting portion (). Further, a damping reservoir () is provided inside the shaft bearing body (). A volume of the damping reservoir () is changed by axial movement of the valve shaft (). In order to obtain a well-defined times for opening and closing under given conditions and to make the check valve unit () less prone to making noise, at least two channels () are provided in parallel, each of them constituting a fluid connection between the damping reservoir () and an outside (). The damping reservoir () is, apart from the channels (), at least substantially enclosed. Each channel () has a length being at least ten times a hydraulic diameter of the respective channel ().

Check valve damping

The invention relates to a compressor unit () for a refrigeration system using a refrigerant. The compressor () unit includes a centrifugal compressor () for compressing the refrigerant, wherein the compressor () has a discharge outlet () for discharging the compressed refrigerant, and a check valve (). An inlet () of the check valve () is in fluid connection with the discharge outlet () of the compressor (). In order to provide a more reliable and more quite compressor unit (), the check valve () is a nozzle check valve including a damping mechanism (), wherein a closing parameter of the check valve () is between 50 s/mand 2000 s/m, wherein the closing parameter is a closing time of the check valve () divided by a port area of the check valve ().

Compressor unit with a damped axial check valve for a discharge outlet

The invention relates to an ejector arrangement () comprising a housing () and at least two ejectors () arranged in said housing () along a common axis (). Each ejector () has a motive inlet (), a suction inlet (), an outlet () and a valve element (). The task of the invention is to provide an ejector arrangement that allows for a good control of the mass flow of fluid through the ejector arrangement while keeping the construction simple. According to the invention the above task is solved in that the ejector arrangement () comprises a common actuator (), that is arranged to engage at least two of the valve elements () to open the motive inlets ().

Ejector arrangement

A solenoid valve () is described comprising a first port (), a second port (), a valve element () and a valve seat () arranged between said first port () and said second port (), a coil () and a yoke arrangement (-), said coil () being magnetically linked to said yoke arrangement (-), said yoke arrangement (-) having a movable armature (). In such a solenoid valve the generation of noise should be kept low. To this end said valve element () is driven by a pressure difference between a first pressure on a first side () of said valve element () and a second pressure on a second side () of said valve element (), at least one of said first pressure and said second pressure being controlled by means of said armature (), wherein said armature () comprises a first front face () at a first end and a second front face () at a second end opposite said first end, said first front face () and said second front face () being connected by a first flow path (), said first flow path having first throttling means for keeping low a flow of a fluid flowing through said first flow path ().

Solenoid valve

A valve () for use in a vapour compression system () is disclosed. The valve () comprises a first inlet () arranged to be connected to a gaseous outlet () of a receiver (), a second inlet () arranged to be connected to an outlet of an evaporator (), a first outlet () arranged to be connected to an inlet of a compressor unit (), a non-return valve arrangement () arranged to allow a fluid flow from the second inlet () towards the first outlet (), but to prevent a fluid flow from the first outlet () towards the second inlet (), and a control valve mechanism () arranged to control a fluid flow from the first inlet () towards the first outlet ().

Self-regulating valve for a vapour compression system

The invention relates to an actuator for a valve in a refrigeration system. The invention also relates to a valve with such actuator, and to a refrigeration system with such valve. The actuator comprises an elongated Shape Memory Alloy (SMA) element extending along two or more string-like extensions from a distant end to a proximate end in relation to a valve element of a valve. The SMA element, when forming part of the valve, may extend from the distant end to the proximate end connected to a housing of the SMA element, however, electrically insulated from the housing. An encapsulation may provide a thermal resistance, a thermal conductor and/or an electrical resistance between the SMA element and other elements or the surroundings of the SMA element.

Shape memory alloy actuator for valve for a vapour compression system

An ejector arrangement () is provided comprising a housing (), at least two ejectors () arranged in said housing (), each ejector () having a motive inlet (), a suction inlet (), an outlet () and a longitudinal axis (). Such an arrangement should have a simple construction. To this end said suction inlet () of said ejectors () are connected by means of fluid paths to a common suction line ().

An electronic expansion valve () is provided, comprising an inlet (), an outlet (), an armature (), a stop member (), a biasing member () and a solenoid coil (). The biasing member () provides a biasing force on the armature () towards a closing direction while the solenoid coil () may be provided with a current to provide a magnetic force on the armature () towards an opening direction. It is intended to provide an electronic expansion valve that may be controlled more precisely and has a higher safety. To this end the pressure difference between the inlet pressure and the outlet pressure provides a differential pressure force on the armature () towards an opening direction to allow a fluid flow from the inlet () to the outlet (), and furthermore the armature () is displaced away from the stop member () to allow a fluid flow from the inlet () to the outlet () if the sum of the magnetic force and the differential pressure force on the armature () exceeds the biasing force. The invention furthermore relates to a refrigeration system comprising such an electronic expansion valve as well as a method for calibrating such an electronic expansion valve.

Electronic expansion valve and methods for calibrating an electronic expansion valve

A solenoid valve () is provided comprising a housing, an inlet, an outlet, main valve means located between said inlet and said outlet, said main valve means comprising a main valve element, pilot valve means adjusting a pressure difference over said main valve element and having a pilot valve element, a coil, a yoke arrangement magnetically linked to said coil, and armature means for moving said pilot valve element. Such a solenoid valve should achieve a large opening stroke without unduly increasing the coil and yoke arrangement. To this end said armature means comprise a first part attractable by said yoke means to perform an opening stroke, and a second part carrying said pilot valve element, wherein said first part is movable relative to said second part in a first section of said opening stroke and is dragging said second part in a second section of said opening stroke following said first section.

A magnetic valve () in which a valve housing (), an armature tube (), an inlet connection () and an outlet connection () form a single valve part is provided. An armature () made from a soft magnetic material is arranged movably inside the armature tube (). A coil () is arranged externally to the armature tube () in such a manner that the armature tube () and the armature () are arranged inside the windings of the coil (). A valve closing element () is connected to the armature () and is movable between a position in which it abuts a valve seat () and positions in which it does not abut the valve seat, thereby closing and opening the valve (). In one embodiment, the flow path through the valve () from the inlet opening () to the outlet opening () does not pass through the windings of the coil (). In another embodiment, the armature tube () comprises a closed end part ().

Magnetic valve with a one piece housing

A flow control valve () and a method for assembling a flow control valve () are disclosed. The flow control valve () comprises a first housing part () and a second housing part () attached directly to each other, in such a manner that the first housing part () and the second housing part () form a substantially closed housing. The first housing part () defines a first flow section (), a second flow section (), a connecting port () fluidly interconnecting the first flow section () and the second flow section (), and a valve seat () arranged at the connecting port (). The flow control valve () further comprises a frame part () arranged in an interior part of the housing formed by the first housing part () and the second housing part (), the frame part () having mounted thereon a valve element () arranged movably relative to the valve seat (), a moving mechanism, e.g. including a spindle (), for moving the valve element (), and an actuating mechanism, e.g. a stepper motor (), for operating the moving mechanism. The frame part () is attached directly to the first housing part () or to the second housing part (). The frame part () along with the components mounted thereon can be mounted on the first () or second () housing part during the assembly of the flow control valve (). The final assembly step thereby only includes attaching the first () and second () housing parts to each other. This makes the assembly process easy, thereby reducing the risk of errors.

Flow control valve and a method of assembling a flow control valve

A proportional valve including a housing having an inlet and an outlet, and a valve element movably positioned in the housing between the inlet and the outlet. The valve element having a pilot valve opening, a first pressure chamber with a pressure acting on the valve element in a first direction, and a second pressure chamber with a pressure acting on the valve element in a second direction opposite to the first direction. A pilot valve element actuated by a drive mechanism to cooperate with the pilot valve opening to form a pilot valve. A flow resistance between the inlet and the first pressure chamber is smaller than a flow resistance between the inlet and the second pressure chamber. The pilot valve opens into a third pressure chamber connected to the outlet via a throttled flow path.

Proportional control valve

A refrigeration system includes a refrigerant circuit with a plurality of evaporator paths and a distributor for distributing refrigerant. The distributor includes a housing and a controllable valve for each evaporator path. The refrigeration system is operated by using a distributor including a magnet arrangement for controlling the valves.
