An adjusting ring for a moving walkway or an escalator can include a hollow cylindrical annular body and at least one adjusting screw. An outside diameter of the annular body is greater than an inner outside ring diameter of an outer ring of a roller bearing arranged adjacently in the assembled state. Furthermore, the adjusting ring can include at least one annular groove arranged concentrically to the inside diameter in a lateral ring face of the annular body which is directed against the roller bearing in the assembled state.

Main drive shaft or deflection shaft of an escalator or moving walkway

The disclosure relates to a handrail disinfecting device for a handrail of a passenger transport installation. The handrail disinfecting device has a plurality of light-emitting diodes that can emit germicidal electromagnetic radiation in the region of their light cone. A pass-through segment of the handrail disinfecting device is divided into at least two sectors and has a carrier having planes that are arranged in the sectors. The light-emitting diodes are arranged on the carrier such that they are oriented according to the planes. In one of the sectors, there are two planes that are arranged in parallel with the longitudinal extension of the pass-through segment and so as to be mutually inclined at an angle of 100° to 160°.

Handrail disinfecting device for passenger transport installations

A speed monitoring device for measuring a rotational frequency or rotational speed of a main drive shaft of a passenger transportation system can include at least one rotational speed sensor having an input shaft, a pinion, and a tapping device arranged on a shaft casing surface of the main drive shaft of the passenger transportation system. Furthermore, there is also a bracket for attaching the rotational speed sensor and the pinion in a stationary position relative to an axis of rotation of the tapping device, the tapping device having a gearing which can be coupled to the pinion in a rotation-transmitting manner, and the pinion being rotatably mounted in the bracket at two bearing areas.

An escalator with a step belt or a moving walkway with a plate belt has a first deflecting region and a second deflecting region, wherein the plate belt or the step belt is arranged to circulate between the first deflecting region and the second deflecting region. The escalator or the moving walkway includes at least one guide rail arranged between the deflecting regions for guidance of the step belt or the plate belt, as well as at least one support, which is arranged between the deflecting regions for supporting the at least one guide rail. The at least one support includes a plurality of plug parts that in an assembled state can be plugged together by plug connections to form a box-shaped support base body.

A safety brake of an escalator or moving walkway includes at least one locking member, which is arranged so as to adopt a release setting or locking setting by means of a pivot movement. The locking member in the locking setting engages in at least one moved part of the escalator or the moving walkway and blocks this. In addition, the safety brake comprises a linear guide by which the locking member is linearly guided between a first position and a second position. The linear guide is mounted on a stationary part of the escalator or the moving walkway by a pivot axle.

An escalator or moving walkway comprises a balustrade base, an illumination profile disposed in the base and a transparent cover through which illumination is provided. An illumination strip is located within the illumination profile, and has a plurality of LED lamps. A reflecting surface is provided on the illumination profile, and is aligned such that at least a portion of the light emitted by the LED lamps impinging upon the surface is reflected in the direction of the cover, facilitating an even level of illumination.

An escalator or moving walk has a drive arranged in a reversing area. The drive drives chain wheels that move the step band or pallet band and include a motor, an axial gear, a first hollow shaft and a second hollow shaft. The motor drives a belt to drive a gear input shaft that runs coaxial to the first hollow shaft. Arranged at one end of the gear input shaft is an operating brake; the other end of the gear input shaft is connected to the axial gear. A first flange connects a first chain wheel to a truss. A second chain wheel is arranged at one end of the second hollow shaft; the other end of the second hollow shaft is connected to the housing of the axial gear. A second flange connected to a side plate serves as a torque converter bearing for the axial gear.

An escalator and moving walk shaft mounting construction and method utilizes a truss, a shaft and a shaft-bearing to hold the shaft in the truss. The shaft bearing has a hub and a socket. The hub is affixed to the truss, while the socket interfits with the hub to hold the shaft. The hub-socket connection can be severed to release the shaft from the hub.
