A system having a plurality of devices configured in a daisy chain network including a communication bus connecting the devices and adapted to exchange address-setting information. Each device includes an input pin adapted to receive via an input signal line different from the communication bus a signal comprising configuration information for configuring at least the device; a configuration handling unit adapted to detect a configuration mode and to configure the device according to the configuration information; an indicator adapted to indicate whether the configuration handling unit has finished configuring the device; an output pin adapted to forward the configuration information to the daisy chain network when the indicator indicates the configuration of the device is done; and a safety handling unit adapted to be operable in a safety handling mode when the indicator indicates the configuration of the device is done.

Device for use in a configurable network

The present invention relates to an integrated circuit device for controlling LIN slave nodes based on a control signal transmitted by a LIN master control device. The IC device comprises a slave node circuit for processing the control signal when received in the form of a LIN message frame via a first data line terminal. The IC device also comprises a master node circuit for processing further control signals to be transmitted in the form of LIN message frames via a second data line terminal to the LIN slave nodes. The IC device also comprises a processing unit for controlling the LIN slave nodes based on the control signal by composing the further control signals.

Local interconnect network bus architecture

A method of operating a plurality of driving units for powering electronic units comprises interchanging a data frame including a bit sequence, between a master control unit and at least one of a plurality of driving units at slave nodes. A step of applying an ID field comprises indicating the driving unit address using a first bit sub-string comprising N bits, allowing the master control unit to identify whether data should be received or transmitted, or allowing each addressed driving unit to decode which action is required by the master control unit, using an R/T command bit, performing a length decoding step, for including information in the ID field regarding the type of instructions included in the data frame, using an F function bit, and assigning data bits to different electronic units or indicating in the length of the bit string in the data field, using a second bit sub-string.

Bus protocol for dynamic lighting application

The present invention relates to an integrated-LED device having a housing, whereby the housing comprises a multi-LED device comprising a transparent substrate and a plurality of light emitting diodes, LEDs, arranged for emitting light and disposed on said transparent substrate, an integrated circuit in connection with said LEDs and arranged for controlling said LEDs, a base comprising one or more base extensions, on which at least said multi-LED device is mounted, with said one or more base extensions so arranged or so shaped that a first opening is created to let pass LED light emitted through said transparent substrate by said plurality of LEDs.

Integrated LED device

A multi-LED device comprises a transparent substrate, a plurality of light emitting diodes, LEDs, arranged for emitting light of a plurality of colors and disposed on the transparent substrate, an integrated control circuit in connection with the LEDs and comprising a plurality of photo sensors optically connected to the LEDs. Each photo sensor is provided with a color filter. The integrated circuit is arranged for receiving via the plurality of photo sensors information on a light intensity of the plurality of colors of the LEDs and for regulating the light intensity of the colors of the LEDs based on the information on the light intensity. The transparent substrate with the plurality of LEDs is flip-chip mounted on the integrated control circuit.

Device with light emitting diodes

A transmitter and a receiver for transmitting and receiving data via a power supply line comprise a local signal port for respectively receiving and transmitting a serial bit stream and a power line connection port for respectively transmitting a radio frequency signal and receiving the radio frequency signal via the power supply line. The transmitter comprises a modulator unit adapted for encoding the serial bit stream into a baseband signal and generating the radio frequency signal by mixing the baseband signal with a carrier wave so as to redundantly convey the at least one baseband signal in at least four spectral sidebands of the carrier wave. The receiver comprises a demodulator unit adapted for detecting the at least four spectral sidebands of the carrier wave in the radio frequency signal, isolating a baseband signal from the at least four spectral sidebands and decoding the baseband signal into the serial bit stream.

Power supply line data transmission

The present invention relates to an electronic device, the electronic device comprising at least one LED, a driving unit for applying a driving algorithm for driving the LED during normal operation, and a measurement unit for determining a forward voltage of the LED by imposing a test current to the LED, the measurement unit being programmed for determining test current characteristics taking into account said driving algorithm.
