A load carrying assembly for carrying a load with a rotary wing aircraft. The load carrying assembly includes a cargo cable and a load engaging system. The cargo cable may have a first end that is attachable to a hoist or a cargo hook arrangement. The load engaging system may include a first attachment that is attached to the second end of the cargo cable, a second attachment that is adapted for receiving a load, a connecting apparatus that connects the first attachment with the second attachment, and at least two first and second thrust producing devices that are attached to the connecting apparatus and produce thrust in a direction that is orthogonal to the cargo cable extension.

A rope suspension device with at least one rope suspension module that is adapted for suspension of at least one rope from a rotorcraft, the rope suspension module comprising at least one lockable load beam that is rotatable around an axis of rotation between a locked state and an unlocked state and that is adapted for supporting in the locked state at least one rope that is to be suspended from the rope suspension module, the at least one lockable load beam being, upon unlocking in operation, rotatable from the locked state around the axis of rotation into the unlocked state at least on the basis of a load that is applied to the at least one lockable load beam by means of at least one rope that is supported by the at least one lockable load beam.

An aircraft with a fuselage and a floor structure that is arranged inside the fuselage, the floor structure and the fuselage defining a subfloor region between the floor structure and a fuselage underside of the fuselage, the subfloor region accommodating at least one auxiliary compartment, wherein an equipment bay with at least one auxiliary equipment is arranged within the subfloor region, the at least one auxiliary equipment being at least essentially stowable in the equipment bay in a stow mode and the at least one auxiliary compartment being at least partly arranged in a region between the equipment bay and the floor structure such that the at least one auxiliary compartment separates the equipment bay from the floor structure.

An external load mass rope for attachment to a cargo hook device of a rotorcraft that comprises at least one first cargo hook and at least one second cargo hook, the external load mass rope comprising at least one first rope leg and at least one second rope leg, wherein the at least one first rope leg is adapted for attachment to the at least one first cargo hook and the at least one second rope leg is adapted for attachment to the at least one second cargo hook, characterized in that at least one of the first and second rope legs comprises an associated length adjustment unit that is adapted to shorten or lengthen the at least one of the first and second rope legs in operation on the basis of associated operating parameters.
