An arrangement for determining a magnitude of an electrical current flowing through a busbar. The arrangement has a measurement conductor which is electrically connected at a first contact point to the busbar and which extends from the first contact point to a second contact point. A third contact point is located on the busbar at a spacing distance from the first contact point. A voltage measurement device is configured to measure a voltage between the second contact point and the third contact point. The arrangement also has a controlled current source which is configured to introduce a measurement current into the measurement conductor.

A current-limiting circuit for limiting the magnitude of an alternating current. The circuit includes a coil unit and a capacitor unit, which are connected electrically in series, and a bypass device for electrically bridging the capacitor unit on occasion of an overcurrent. The bypass device has a first bypass branch and a second bypass branch connected electrically in parallel with the first bypass branch. A third bypass branch is connected electrically in parallel with a second bypass element of the second bypass branch.

Current limiting circuit for limiting the magnitude of an alternating current

A device and a method for simultaneous full-duplex data and power transmission over a single optical waveguide, which connects a base station and a remote station. At the base station a high power laser source emits a first laser beam for carrying power and a base station low power laser source emits a second laser beam for carrying data over the optical waveguide from the base station to the remote station. An optical interface couples the laser beams into the optical waveguide. The laser beams are received at corresponding first and second remote station optical receivers. At the remote station, a third laser beam is emitted by a remote station low power laser source for carrying data from the remote station to the base station and the beam is received at the base station optical receiver. The wavelengths of the first, second and the third laser beams are distinct.
