A method may be provided. One or more packets from a client may be received, in a block based modulation environment, at one or more switchable antennas of an access point. The access point may have a plurality of switchable antennas. Each switchable antenna may have an antenna state. The plurality of switchable antennas may be switched among such that at least five of the antenna states are sampled. Angle of arrival of the client may be calculated based on the at least five of the antenna states.

Presented herein are systems, methods, and nonvolatile computer-readable storage devices for informing a particle event processor of a particle detector of events arising within a sensor period. The systems, methods, and nonvolatile computer-readable storage devices involve the generation of a sensor data set detected by a particle event sensor and representing the events arising within the particle detector during the sensor period. The systems, methods, and nonvolatile computer-readable storage devices also involve the compression of the sensor data set with a waveform compression technique to generate a compressed sensor data set, and the transmission of the compressed sensor data set to the particle event processor.

Particle event recordation

Presented herein are systems, methods, and computer-readable media for recording event times in particle detection scenarios. The systems, methods, and computer-readable media involve the identification of one facility device as a grandmaster clock among at least two facility devices of a facility device set, where the respective facility devices are selected from a facility device type set including a beam monitor; a neutron instrument; a neutron chopper; a nuclear reactor; a particle accelerator; a network router; and a user workstation. The system, method, and computer-readable medium also involve configuring the facility devices to synchronize a clock component with the grandmaster clock; and, upon detecting an event, retrieve from the clock component of the selected facility device an absolute event timestamp that is independent of event times of other events, and store a record of the facility event and the absolute event timestamp in the data store.
