Steering handles with manifolds that enable an operator to configure an endoscopic system in situ for a variety of tasks, including irrigation, aspiration, or both. In addition, the disclosed endoscopic systems facilitate rapid reconfiguration of the location of a laser fiber optic within a catheter assembly. The laser fiber optic, for example, can be removed from an irrigation channel of the endoscopic system and reinserted in the aspiration channel during a laser lithotripsy procedure. In some embodiments, the removal and reinsertion can be performed in situ, without removing the catheter from the patient or the treated organ. These aspects of the disclosed system reduce the time required to perform laser lithotripsy procedures, with less trauma to the patient.

A proximal delivery catheter includes a proximal handle assembly, an elongated catheter body defining a longitudinal axis and extending distally from the proximal handle assembly, and a drive wire movably positioned within the elongated catheter body. A release pin assembly is coupled to a distal end of the drive wire. The release pin assembly including a release pin and a release pin housing positioned outward from the release pin. A shaft spring is positioned outward from the release pin housing. The shaft spring includes an annular portion wherein the release pin housing is configured and adapted to interfere with the annular portion of the shaft spring. A distal clip assembly is removably connected to the distal end of the elongated catheter body. The proximal delivery catheter is configured to transmit linear motion along and torsion about the longitudinal axis to at least a portion of the distal clip assembly.

Devices and methods for applying a hemostatic clip assembly

A device for applying a hemostatic clip assembly includes a proximal delivery catheter having a handle assembly and an elongated catheter body defining a longitudinal axis extending distally from the handle assembly, and a distal clip assembly removably connected to a distal end of the catheter body. The distal clip assembly includes a distal clip housing, a jaw assembly and a jaw adapter yoke. The jaw assembly has a pair of jaw members fixed to the distal clip housing by a first pin oriented orthogonally relative to the longitudinal axis. The jaw adapter yoke is operatively connected to the jaw members. The proximal delivery catheter is configured to transmit linear motion along and torsion about the longitudinal axis to at least a portion of the distal clip assembly. At least one of the jaw members is configured to rotate about the first pin between an open and a closed configuration.

Devices and methods for applying a hemostasis clip assembly

Catheter steering handles that are ergonomically designed to enable an operator to reduce hand fatigue. Various ergonomic aspects of the disclosed steering handles include geometries that more naturally conform to the palm of the hand and that enable the hand to be held in a natural, low stress posture during operation of the steering handle. In another aspect of the disclosure, the catheter steering handle is configured so that the operator can release or partially release the grip on the handle, thereby enabling the operator to relax and flex the hand, thereby reducing fatigue.

An elongated serpentine groove is formed on the exterior of an elastic stem insert configured for insertion into a rigid outer shell during the pipe assembly. Elastic stem insert also serves to brush off smoke stains and deposits of smoke debris from the inside of the outer shell, making cleaning of the pipe easy and convenient. A smoke chamber is formed below the cannabis container to cause even distribution of air and smoke flow throughout the volume of cannabis to eliminate the need to frequently light up the pipe during use. An insert assembly is also described for use with bongs and other smoking implements.

Control handle grip for a catheter

Drive systems and methods of use are disclosed herein for performing medical procedures on a patient. The drive systems include various handle types and triggers for controlling catheters and end effectors. The various handle types include a flexible handle and ambidextrous handles that can alter the handedness of the handle for particularized use. The handles drive articulation sections of the catheter and end effectors with various degrees of freedom, and include locks for holding the catheter and/or end effector in place. The catheter systems include structures for allowing degrees of freedom, such as notches, mechanical interlocks, and articulation joints. In addition, the catheters articulate via cables or fluids.

A sterile enclosure to bring a non-sterile hand-held electronic device such as a smartphone or a tablet into a sterile field comprises a rigid frame, a rigid base and a device holder configured to accept the hand-held device thereon. The use of the device holder to contain the hand-held device prior to engaging with the base and positioning the device therein, allows avoiding contamination of sterile components during use. A sterility indicator is also provided to continuously monitor the sterile enclosure for a possible breach in sterility while inside the sterile field.

An endoscopic system may include an endoscope including a proximal end, a distal end, and an elongated sheath extending therebetween. The elongated sheath may define at least one lumen. Embodiments of the present disclosure are directed to cannulating devices and methods for exchanging cannulating devices in an endoscopic procedure. In one implementation, an apparatus for endoscopic operations is described. The apparatus includes a cannulating device to be introduced through an internal lumen of an endoscope via a biopsy port. The cannulating device has an elongated body. The elongated body includes a guidewire lumen configured to receive a guidewire therein, and a slit extending over at least a portion of the length of the elongated body from a distal tip to a proximal position of the elongated body.

Embodiments of the present disclosure are directed to apparatuses, systems, and methods for merging a balloon catheter onto a locked guidewire. In one implementation, a balloon catheter may include an inflatable balloon affixed thereto and a slit extending from a distal end of a guidewire lumen to a position proximal of the balloon. The slit may be widened by a working member of an adapter to allow passage of the locked guidewire into the guidewire lumen of the balloon catheter. The balloon catheter may be merged onto the guidewire via the slit and delivered to the desired treatment device without requiring the guidewire to be unlocked. Advantageously, access to at least one desired treatment site may be maintained with the guidewire during merging of the balloon catheter.
