In accordance with some embodiments, systems, methods, and media for automatically diagnosing IPMNs using multi-modal MRI data are provided. In some embodiments, a system comprises: an MRI scanner; and a processor programmed to: prompt a user to select a slice of T1 and T2 MRI data including the subject's pancreas; generate minimum and maximum intensity projections based consecutive slices of the T1 and T2 MRI data; provide the projections to an image recognition CNN, and receive feature vectors for each from a fully connected layer; perform a canonical correlation analysis to determine correlations between the feature vectors; and provide a resultant vector to an SVM that determines whether the subject's pancreas includes IPMNs based on a vector.

Systems, methods, and media for automatically diagnosing intraductal papillary mucinous neosplasms using multi-modal magnetic resonance imaging data

A surgical cutting tool includes a catheter, a first diametrically expandable member such as an inflatable balloon at a first location on the catheter, a second diametrically expandable member such as an inflatable balloon at a second location on the catheter that is distally spaced from the first expandable member, a cutting tool such as a cauterization tip extending between the first and second expandable members, and expanding structure such as a lumen for enabling the first and second expandable members to be actuated between a reduced diameter state and an expanded diameter state, and thereby move and position the cutting tool radially with respect to the catheter.

A photodynamic therapy system and methods determine the amount (concentration) of a photosensitizer agent present in the target tissue. The system may also determine the tissue oxygenation. The system may also determine light dosimetry parameters based on the amount of photosensitizer in the tissue and/or the tissue oxygenation.

Determination of photodynamic therapy (PDT) treatment parameters

A colonic lavage catheter includes a head attached at an end of a suction tube and having both rearward and lateral fluid discharge openings. A pair of tubes extend along the suction tube with their ends attached to the head to place the rearward and lateral fluid discharge openings in fluid communication with a source of pressurized fluid. The suction tube includes a plurality of suction orifices through the outer wall along its length proximate the catheter head. A cleaning process may be performed by inserting the catheter head into the colon and then discharging fluid through the rearward openings to advance the catheter. At points along the colon, pressurized fluid may be discharged through the lateral discharge openings to lavage the adjacent walls of the colon, with suction being applied to draw the dislodged material into the suction tube through the suction orifices.
