Doppler Aided Inertial Navigation (DAIN) facilitates the determination of position, velocity and direction of mobile devices operating in highly obstructed GPS/GNSS environments. Delivering high precision, high resolution positioning information using signals of opportunity, the present invention measures the Doppler shift of a moving device using a variety of signals combined with inertial accelerometers and environmental sensors to deliver an autonomous positioning and navigation capability that does not require external infrastructure or a priori knowledge of signal sources.

The present invention relates to a system and method using hybrid spectral compression and cross correlation signal processing of signals of opportunity, which may include Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) as well as other wideband energy emissions in GNSS obstructed environments. Combining spectral compression with spread spectrum cross correlation provides unique advantages for positioning and navigation applications including carrier phase observable ambiguity resolution and direct, long-code spread spectrum signal acquisition. Alternatively, the present invention also provides unique advantages for establishing the validity of navigation signals in order to counter the possibilities of electronic attack using spoofing and/or denial methods.

The present invention relates to a system and method for positioning and navigation using hybrid spectral compression and cross correlation signal processing of signals of opportunity, which may include Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) as well as other wideband energy emissions in GNSS obstructed environments. Examples of these signals of opportunity include but are not limited to GPS, GLONASS, cellular Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA) communications signals, and 802.11 Wi-Fi. Combining spectral compression with spread spectrum cross correlation enables extraction of code and carrier observables without the need to implement the tracking loops (e.g. Costas tracking loop) commonly used in conventional GNSS receivers. For applications where dynamics and transmission medium may make it difficult to continuously track carrier phase, the hybrid approach of the present invention has significant utility.

System and method for positioning using hybrid spectral compression and cross correlation signal processing

The present invention relates to a system and method for providing location determination in a configured environment in which Global Navigation Satellite System Signals may not be available. In this regard, local beacon systems generate spread spectrum CDMA signals that are received by spectral compression units that derive physically meaningful observations without a requirement for correlation of the intercepted energy by means of the known spreading codes. The invention can coexist with communication assets already in place, and the design allows for self calibration, which simplifies installation and usage. The invention has utility in applications in which GNSS signals are unavailable or limited, for example, in warehouse inventory management, in search and rescue operations and in asset tracking in indoor environments.

System and method for positioning in configured environments

Multiple Array Management Functions (AMFs) are connected to multiple redundancy groups over a storage area network (SAN), such as a fiber-channel based SAN. The multiple AMFs share management responsibility of the redundancy groups, each of which typically includes multiple resources spread over multiple disks. The AMFs provide concurrent access to the redundancy groups for associated host systems. When a host requests an AMF to perform an operation on a resource, the AMF synchronizes with the other AMFs sharing control of the redundancy group that includes the resource to be operated on, so as to obtain access to the resource. While performing the operation, the AMF send replication data and state information associated with the resource such that if the AMF fails, any of the other AMFs are able to complete the operation and maintain data reliability and coherency.

Methods and systems for implementing shared disk array management functions

The system and methods of the present invention provide a processing function that is useful for controlling any type of transaction between providers and consumers of information services. The invention provides a transaction framework that dynamically integrates a plurality of service providers and consumers based on transaction context data. Transactions between services are described using a transaction definition. A transaction definition specifies the details of the transaction using a uniform specification model, where services are classified through a standardized taxonomic structure. The processing function analyzes service classification during a transaction to determine the appropriate configuration and processing strategy.

Method and system for generalized and adaptive transaction processing between uniform information services and applications

The present invention provides for distributed navigation and route guidance using networked computing devices. A computing device may host one or more navigation functional components. The location of a navigable object is sensed and communicated to associated navigation components in a communication network. The navigation components collectively provide guidance information to a navigable object controller. A navigable object controller directs the movement of an navigable object using guidance information to keep it on a specified route. The navigable object controller interacts with the distributed navigation system through an interface, which provides the appropriate presentation of guidance information and functions for the particular type of navigable object controller (e.g., human-machine interface, or system to system). The present invention provides the structures and methods for a flexible navigation and guidance system supporting a variety of network capabilities and computing devices using the same software implementation.
