The necklace clasp fastener for a string of beads consists of a male bead member, and a female bead member, that do not have any visible loop or eyelets for assembling and holding a string of beads together when the male and female bead members are snapped together. The resulting bead configured clasp is almost undetectable from the outside of the beaded necklace which creates an unbroken, unified string of beads for a much more aesthetic and beautiful piece of jewelry. The improved clasp of the invention provides a safety feature to guard against breakage. The two parts are designed to snap together with enough force to hold the necklace on the wearer under normal wear and use. If, however, the necklace catches on to something, the clasp will release easily from the wearer instead of breaking the necklace, and releasing the beads all over the place.

Aesthetic beaded necklace clasp

A shot pellet that, has an inner core of a material such tungsten carbide, that is coated with a layer of bismuth. This coating is molecularly bonded to the tungsten carbide and is not an alloy. The unique properties of the shot pellet allow its density to be tailored. Under this process, the effective density of the pellet can be made to be identical to lead for direct replacement in current lead loading formulations. Additionally, the density can be made to be lower than lead for shotguns requiring low barrel pressures, or higher than lead for enhanced energy transfer while maintaining the other advantages of the instant invention.

A threadless connector for cable pipes or electrical conduit that includes two half-couplings having tightening flanges along their lateral edges or faces. Female and male necks and beads extend along the cooperating lateral faces to form longitudinal seals when the half-couplings are clamped together. Internal radial grooves located near the outer parts of both ends of the half-couplings cooperate with split compression rings the outer surface of which compresses against the conic grooves and the inner edges bite into the connected pipe sections to form radial seals therewith. The half-couplings can be either two separate congruent parts or joined along one edge as desired.

A baggage carrier for a car roof comprises a supporting element extending in one plane and including a plurality of supporting members, a plurality of supports arranged to be located after the supporting element so as to support the supporting element on a car roof, and a unit for fixing the supporting element on a car body, the supporting element being collapsible in the plane so as to assume in at least one direction and dimension which is substantially smaller than an original dimension of the supporting element in the same direction.

A method of evaluating the maconium content or concentration of amniotic fluid makes uses of a meconium measurement color chart which accurately reproduces the color and transparency of amniotic fluid having different amounts of meconium therein. Measurement indicia are denoted on the chart next to corresponding color samples. A sample of amniotic fluid is placed either on a transparent medium or in a transparent container. Then the sample is visually compared with the meconium measurement chart, while shining fluorescent light through both the sample and the meconium measurement chart, so as to determine the denoted measurement value which most closely matches the color and transparency of the amniotic fluid sample. If the measurement value is above a predefined threshold value, precautionary measures are taken to improve the infant's chances of survival, e.g., by intubating the infant's lungs.
