A reversible, multiple spray tip spray gun tip assembly includes a tip holder and a turret. In one embodiment, the tip holder has a turret opening and a fluid spray passage that is in communication with the turret opening. The turret has a barrel including a plurality of spaced apart spray tips and a handle to rotate the barrel within the turret opening. Either the tip holder or the turret includes one or more projections while the other of the tip holder or the turret includes a cam surface with which the one or more projections slideable engage such that rotating the turret relative to the tip holder causes the turret to translate relative to the tip holder and to align each of the spray tips with the fluid spray passage in a spray position and a clear position.

Multiple spray tip turret assembly for paint sprayer

A self-contained, hand-held paint spray gun apparatus having a paint reservoir on the gun and a turret assembly having a reversible tip for spraying paint from the reservoir through the tip and a swirl chamber adapter located between the gun and turret assembly. The tip is reversible between a SPRAY position and a CLEAN position to enable a user of the paint spray gun to rapidly and conveniently clear an obstruction in the tip and continue spraying without removing the tip. The swirl chamber adapter has a generally planar face opposing a swirl valve in the gun and forming a swirl chamber upstream of the turret assembly and has a centrally located bore extending from the generally planar face to the outlet of the adapter.

A hand-held paint spray gun apparatus having a paint reservoir on the gun and reciprocating piston driven by a motor in the hand-held paint spray gun, the gun having a multiple orifice spray tip with a pair of apertures emitting generally fan or cone shaped overlapping spray patterns. A locking nut retains the cylinder to a motor frame and a frame carries the spray tip, with one of the nut and frame having a corrugated surface and the other of the locking nut and the spray tip frame having a plurality of protrusions engaging the corrugated surface. The protrusions are spaced apart circumferentially from each other and with respect to the spacing of a plurality of troughs and crests in the corrugated surface such that only one protrusion at a time is nested in a trough of the corrugated surface.

In one example, a handheld fluid sprayer is provided and includes a housing, an assembly having at least one of a motor and a fluid pump, and at least one assembly support feature. The assembly is mounted to the housing with the at least one assembly support feature. The at least one assembly support feature includes a first portion having first and second opposed surfaces and a second portion having first and second opposed surfaces. The second portion extends from the first portion such that at least one of the first and second surfaces of the second portion is at least substantially orthogonal to the second surface of the first portion.

A fluid delivery system includes a pump operably coupleable to a source of fluid. A reciprocating electromagnetic actuator is coupled to the pump and has a coil that when energized causes the actuator to drive the pump. Coil current sensing circuitry is configured to provide an indication of current flowing in the coil. A controller is coupled to the coil current sensing circuitry and is configured to calculate a coil drive parameter based upon a plurality of coil current indications from the coil current sensing circuitry. Coil drive circuitry is coupled to the controller and is configured to supply current to the coil based on the coil drive parameter.

A paint spraying system having a paint reservoir () remote from a spray gun () of the type which draws paint to the gun using vacuum (). A paint pump () delivers paint under positive pressure to the paint gun and a paint regulator () in or associated with the paint gun delivers the paint to the gun as drawn by vacuum by the gun through the regulator. An over-pressure relief valve () may be used to limit the positive pressure delivered by the pump. A mechanical switch may be used to select a SPRAY or CLEAN mode for the operation of the paint regulator to allow flushing of the paint regulator.

Apparatus and method for quickly disconnecting a wetted parts subassembly from a paint spray gun wherein the wetted parts subassembly includes a spray tip, pump cylinder and piston and paint cup components including a pump housing cylinder support carrying the pump cylinder and having a pair of protrusions formed on a pump housing cylinder support, a frame having a pair of slots aligned to receive the protrusions when the pump housing cylinder support is received in the frame, a locking lever pivotably attached to the frame adjacent at least one of the slots and movable between a latched position wherein the pump housing cylinder support is retained to the frame, and an unlatched position wherein the pump housing cylinder support is removable from the frame. A passive retention feature frictionally engages the wetted parts subassembly with the frame when the wetted parts subassembly is received in the frame.

Quick disconnect for wetted parts in a paint spray gun

Apparatus and method for cleaning a paint cup, spray tip, and wetted parts from a hand held paint spray gun wherein the gun is disassembled after use and internal wetted parts needing cleaning are inserted into the paint cup, a cleaning cap is attached to the paint cup, and a garden hose is used to flush paint from the interior of the paint cup and the parts contained therein. In another aspect, the cleaning cap is attached to and used to flush an extended suction set having an elongated double lumen hose and adapter. The cleaning cap has a fitting adapted to receive a conventional garden hose and further has a passageway to allow water to exit from the cap after flushing the interior of the paint cup.

Cleaning apparatus for paint spray guns

A piston ventilator is disclosed herein which uniquely includes an oxygen blending module which supplies oxygen enhancement for aiding patients requiring respiratory treatment. The oxygen blending module supplies a preselected enrichment of oxygen to a piston and cylinder assembly wherein the amount of oxygen permitted to flow therein is continuously monitored and controlled according to the volume above the piston in the cylinder as calculated by a controller. The oxygen blending module includes a flow sensor which monitors the flow of supplemental oxygen into the piston and cylinder assembly, and further includes a primary oxygen control valve which restricts the flow of oxygen through the flow sensor to the piston and cylinder assembly depending on the difference between the calculated desired amount of oxygen and the target amount of oxygen provided to the controller.

Oxygen blending in a piston ventilator

A piston ventilator is provided which advantageously monitors the positive end expiratory pressure (PEEP) in a patient circuit for supplying breathable gas to a patient, and controls a shiftable valve element in an exhalation valve to regulate the amount of resistance during the exhalation portion of the patient's breath. The shiftable element is preferably an inflatable diaphragm which receives a pneumatic signal through a signal conduit. The pressure provided by the signal conduit is controlled by the amount of gas vented by a PEEP valve, wherein the greater the opening of the PEEP valve, the greater the amount of gas from the patient circuit is vented therethrough and consequently the less the restriction is provided in the exhalation valve. The primary source of pressure for the breathable gas is provided by a piston ventilator, with make-up pressurization in the patient circuit provided by a secondary source such as a blower to compensate for leakage and to provide pressurization for the signal conduit during the retraction of the piston within the cylinder and consequent exhalation portion of the patient's breath. Supplemental oxygen is provided to the patient circuit during retraction of the piston to ensure adequate oxygen enrichment at the incipient portion of the inhalation portion of the patient's breath.

Peep control in a piston ventilator

A hand control attachment apparatus, for attaching a hand control member to a steering wheel or the like. A web is extended from a housing of the hand control attachment apparatus. The web member cooperates with an outer surface of the housing so as to secure the hand control attachment apparatus onto the steering wheel or the like. A first end of the web member is secured in a slot of a rotatable bar member which is received in the housing. A second end of the web member loops around a rod which is removably received in the housing. The web member is wound onto the bar member by rotating the bar member so as to tightly secure the hand control attachment apparatus onto the steering wheel or the like. The apparatus is released from the steering wheel by releasing the web member and removing the rod out of the looped end of the web member and the housing. The hand control member is mounted on the housing of the hand control attachment apparatus by a spring member, so as to form a hand control device.
