A keysafe includes a housing, a door, a locking mechanism, a wireless communications interface, and an inhibitor system. The housing defines an internal compartment structured to receive a key fob for a vehicle. The door is positioned to enclose the internal compartment. The locking mechanism is positioned to selectively lock the door to prevent access to the internal compartment. The wireless communications interface is configured to facilitate wireless communication with an external device. The inhibitor system includes a coil disposed around the internal compartment, a battery disposed within the housing and coupled to the coil, and a controller. The controller is configured to energize the coil with the battery to inhibit communication between the key fob and the vehicle, receive a deactivation signal from the external device via the wireless communications interface, and de-energize the coil in response to receiving the deactivation signal to permit the communication.

Circuits and methods for using parallel separate battery cells

Systems and methods for use in detecting the presence of an RFID device are provided. One RFID detection system includes a detection circuit that includes an oscillating circuit. The detection circuit is configured to hold the RFID detection system in a low power mode in which the RFID detection system is configured to not actively attempt to communicate with nearby RFID devices. The detection circuit is further configured to monitor one or more parameters of a signal of the oscillating circuit and compare the one or more monitored parameters to one or more reference parameters. The detection circuit is further configured to, based on the comparison, determine whether to transition the RFID detection system from the low power mode into an active communication mode in which the RFID detection system is configured to actively attempt to communicate with nearby RFID devices.

A capacitive touch keypad assembly includes a housing, a capacitance sensing substrate disposed within the housing, and a plurality of conducting members. The housing includes a barrier panel and a keypad display disposed on an exterior surface of the barrier panel. The keypad display defines a plurality of key locations each aligned with a corresponding bore in the barrier panel. The capacitance sensing substrate includes a plurality of key sensors in alignment with the corresponding plurality of key locations. Each of the plurality of conducting members has a first end disposed in a corresponding one of the plurality of barrier panel bores and a second end engaging a corresponding one of the plurality of key sensors.

One locking device includes an antenna and a conductive body having a cavity disposed around the antenna and formed in an interior portion of the conductive body. The conductive body further includes a slot extending from the cavity to an outer surface of the conductive body.
