A system for determining and displaying air temperature, pressure, or velocity in an information technology (IT) room including an IT equipment rack. The system comprises a processor configured to receive a model of a layout of equipment within an IT room, define a primary computational grid including base grid cells with dimensions having a first ratio, define a set of computational grid origin offsets for the model, determine a hybrid computational grid having base grid cells, an origin offset selected from among the set of computational grid origin offsets, and a variable grid for the model associated with the computational grid origin offset having a lowest penalty score, perform a computational fluid dynamics analysis of the model utilizing the hybrid computational grid, and provide a display in a graphical user interface illustrating one or more of air temperatures, air pressures, or airflow velocities within the IT room.

According to at least one aspect of the present disclosure, an information-technology-design system is provided comprising at least one processor coupled to at least one memory, wherein the at least one processor is configured to receive information-technology-device information indicative of a plurality of information-technology devices in a space, the information-technology-device information including information-technology-device-location information, temperature information, and capture-index information, determine, based on the information-technology-device information, a containment type of the plurality of information-technology devices, select, based on the containment type, at least a portion of the capture-index information, determine, based on the information-technology-device-location information, the temperature information, and the at least the portion of the capture-index information, a respective cooling-performance assessment for each information-technology device of the plurality of information-technology devices, and display an indicator of the respective cooling-performance assessment for each information-technology device of the plurality of information-technology devices in the space.

Methods and systems for designing liquid cooled IT room architectures for an IT room using a graphical user interface include simultaneously displaying a configuration region and a results region in the graphical user interface, receiving a design parameter responsive to a user input of one of a plurality of user-selectable graphical user interface elements, determining a dielectric fluid return temperature based on an energy balance equation and a heat exchange equation, and responsive to receiving the design parameter and determining the dielectric fluid return temperature, dynamically displaying in the results region at least one of a first graph representing an amount of required room cooling power per a unit of area of the IT room or a second graph representing a surface temperature of at least one immersion-cooled equipment rack cooled by the architecture.

Methods and system for consolidating alarms using a data center monitoring appliance are provided. The method includes receiving at least one alarm from an physical infrastructure device via the network, determining that the at least one alarm is subject to a consolidation filter, the consolidation filter specifying characteristics of a consolidated alarm and generating the consolidated alarm according to the characteristics specified in the consolidation filter. The system includes a network interface, a memory and a controller coupled to the network interface and the memory and configured to receive at least one alarm from an physical infrastructure device via the network interface, determine that the at least one alarm is subject to a consolidation filter, the consolidation filter specifying characteristics of a consolidated alarm and generate the consolidated alarm according to the characteristics specified in the consolidation filter.
