A post-shaped element for determining the alignment of an implant (), or the opening cross-section of an artificial indentation located in a tooth or in the stroma of a human or animal body, relative to the surrounding tissue structures, can be introduced with a receiving section (A) into an adapted receiving recess () in the implant () or the artificial indentation, and be affixed therein and removed again. In a connecting position the post-shaped element protrudes with a cantilever section (K) beyond the opening cross-section of the receiving recess () or the artificial indentation. In order to be able determine the correct position of the post-shaped element in relation to the implant () in a simple and reliable manner without X-ray images, it is suggested that the post-shaped element contain a through-hole extending in the direction of its longitudinal axis, through which a rod device () can be guided, which with a distal stop surface () can be brought into contact with a stop surface () on the base of the receiving recess () of the implant ().

Dowel-shaped element for determining spatial position, especially that of an implant

An implant () for mounting a connection pin () of a medical device shows a longitudinal axis (), a distal end () and a proximal end (), from which extends a mounting recess () for the connection pin () in the direction of the longitudinal axis () into the inside of the implant (). The outer generated surface of the implant () can be connected in a non-positive or positive manner with the inner generated surface of a mounting hole in a bone of a human or animal body. The connection pin (), which is adapted to the mounting recess (), can be connected in a non-positive or positive manner with the inner generated surface of the mounting recess (). In order to enable rapid creation and similarly rapid breaking of the connection between the medical device and the implant (), it is proposed that the inner generated surface of the mounting recess () should be provided with at least one depression extending perpendicular to the longitudinal axis () of the implant () and constituting an undercut, with which an outwardly protruding projection () of an elastic clip device () of the connection pin () can be radially engaged.

Implant

Implant () for receiving the connecting bridge (&#x2033;) of a medical device, comprising a longitudinal axis (), a distal end () and a proximal end (), whereby a receiving recess () for the connecting bridge (&#x2033;) extends therefrom inside the implant (), wherein the implant () can be connected on its outer surface area to the inner surface area of a receiving bore hole in a bone by force or adaptation, and whereby the connecting bridge (&#x2033;), which is adapted to the receiving recess (), can be anchored through clamping, shrinkage, adhesion or cementing. The anchored medical device rests on a contact surface () of the top () protruding radially outward in its cross-section beyond the cross-section of the receiving recess () on the proximal end () of the implant () across the entire surface against an allocated contact surface () of the implant () on its proximal end (). In order to accomplish this the medical device can be easily assembled while simultaneously ensuring a high torsional safety as well as even force transmission between the implant and the medical device it is suggested that extending from the proximal end () of the implant () the receiving recess () contain a cylindrical section (Z), which is followed by a section (V) that is tapered in its cross-section, and that extending from the top () of the medical device the connecting bridge (&#x2033;) also contain a cylindrical section (Z), which is followed by a section (V) that is tapered in its cross-section.
