An apparatus and method of manufacturing a wire mesh laminate includes wrapping a central core with multiple layers of mesh screen and a barrier layer having a higher melting point than the mesh screen to form a spool assembly. The spool assembly is then surrounded by an outer cover and is heated to sinter or fuse together the layers of mesh screen.

Tooling and method of manufacturing a mesh laminate

A centrifuge screen clamp comprises a body and a screen retaining portion connected to the body. The screen retaining portion comprises a pressure fitting surface and a clamp interface member engaging surface. In one embodiment, the pressure fitting surface is a substantially planar surface disposable on a screen portion of a centrifuge screen and the clamp interface member engaging surface is disposable on a clamp interface member disposed on the screen. The clamp interface member engaging surface operates to apply a counteractive force against the clamp interface member, which counteractive force is substantially coplanar with an inertial sliding tendency direction of the screen during rotation.

Clamping-hook ring

A submerged intake filter assembly comprising a cylindrical screen, a first end plate, a second end plate, a primary flow modifier pipe, and a plurality of secondary flow modifier pipes. The primary flow modifier pipe is eccentric with the cylindrical screen at the first end plate. The secondary flow modifier pipes are positioned to lie in an annular space between the primary flow modifier pipe and the cylindrical screen.

Submerged intake filter assembly

A centrifuge screen includes a series of support rods supporting and underlying a series of filter wires. The filter wires have a triangular cross-section and are less than 0.030 inches in cross-sectional width. The filter wires are spaced less than 0.010 inches apart. The screen is a fine opening, high open area screen for use in a centrifuge to separate particulate matter from a liquid.
