A system and method for transferring chemical, pharmaceutical, and/or biological material into or out of a container are provided. Further, a use of a transfer interface for accessing the interior of a disposable container is provided. The system comprises a disposable container having at least one port for accessing the interior of the container. The system further comprises a transfer interface connectable to the at least one port. The transfer interface comprises a plurality of extendable transfer elements for collecting samples from the disposable container in a sterile manner. The transfer elements may also be referred to as sampling elements, extractors, or probes. Each of the transfer elements has a corresponding biasing element for retracting the transfer element. The biasing element may be implemented as a spring or as another device capable of applying a biasing force.

A fluid transfer assembly includes one or more fluid conduit and a body portion. The body portion defines a fluid channel within the body portion that is in fluid communication which each of the one or more fluid conduits when the body portion is in an elongated state. The body portion has an elongated stat in which the body portion is configured to elongate in a range of 150 percent to 1500 percent from the unelongated state without breaking to facilitate removal of a mandrel from the fluid conduit.

Fluid transfer assembly, a fluid transfer system, and a related method

A fluid distribution system includes an input tube, a plurality of vessels, and a distribution hub. The input tube is configured to extend from a supply vessel. Each vessel of the plurality of vessels includes an inflow conduit. The distribution hub includes a single inlet and a plurality of outlets. The single inlet is defined in a bottom of the distribution hub and is in fluid communication with the input tube such that the distribution hub is configured to receive fluid from the input tube through the single inlet. Each outlet of the plurality of outlets is in fluid communication with the single inlet and in fluid communication with a respective inflow conduit such that the distribution hub is configured to provide an equal portion of the fluid received through the single inlet to each of the inflow conduits.

An organizer assembly including a belt and a ribbon. The ribbon has a first clamp member, a second clamp member, and a first carrier portion. The first clamp member is configured to receive a conduit or a support to fix the conduit or the support relative to the ribbon. The belt includes an elongated body that is slidably received in the first carrier portion. The organizer assembly may include one or more adapters that are received in a respective clamp member of the ribbon and configured to receive a conduit or a support to fix the conduit or support relative to the ribbon.

Tube organizer assembly

A composite article includes a lattice and an elastomeric section. The lattice includes a plurality of members that form an open-mesh frame defining a plurality of voids between the adjacent members of the frame. The elastomeric section is formed of an elastomer that is disposed about the lattice and within the voids of the lattice. The composite article may be a circular gasket, a gasket with a grip, a rectangular gasket, a vessel cap, a flask stand, and a handle for a hand tool.

A clamp for closing a flexible tube includes an anvil and a hammer. The anvil includes a passage and a slot defined therein. The passage is configured to receive a flexible tube therethrough. The hammer is slidably received within the slot of the anvil. The hammer is securable in a first position in which the passage of the anvil is substantially unoccluded and a second position in which the passage of the anvil is occluded. The hammer and the anvil are configured to prevent fluid from flowing through the flexible tube received in the passage when the hammer is in the closed position. The hammer is substantially within the anvil in the closed position.

A method of aseptically distributing fluid including fluidly connecting a primary vessel to a fluid distribution system via a feedline of the supply vessel to form a closed system, priming the feedline to purge trapped gases and fluid from the feedline via a purge valve, simultaneously distributing fluid from the primary vessel to a plurality of secondary vessels, sensing a complete fill of the plurality of secondary vessels with the control system, and stopping the distribution of fluid when the complete fill is sensed by the control system.

A connector for facilitating fluid transfer includes first fitting, a second fitting, a rigid conduit, a first retaining connector, and a second retaining connector. The rigid conduit includes a flexible tube surrounded by a deformable sleeve. The rigid conduit is connected on a first end to the first fitting and on a second end to the second fitting. The first retaining connector connects the first fitting to the rigid conduit and the second retaining connector connects the second fitting to the rigid conduit. A lumen extends through the rigid conduit and is capable of being sealed. The rigid conduit and the flexible tube are capable of being severed while maintaining the seal of the lumen to separate the first fitting from the second fitting. The connections of the first fitting and the second fitting to the rigid conduit are capable of withstanding at least 1 bar of pressure without leaking.

Separable fluid transfer connector

A method of aseptically distributing fluid to a plurality of vessels includes securing the plurality of vessels relative to a hub and flowing fluid through an input tube into a plenum of the hub such that a substantially equal amount of fluid flows from the plenum into each of the vessels simultaneously. The vessels are positioned in the same plane relative to one another with each vessel having an inflow conduit extending from the hub to the vessel such that an arc segment is formed between the hub and the vessel.

A fluid transfer hub has a first vessel closure, a second vessel closure, a gasket arranged between the first vessel closure and the second vessel closure, and a clamp at least partially surrounding the first vessel closure, the second vessel closure, and the gasket. The first vessel closure has a first body, one or more apertures extending axially through the first body, one or more first inserts extending axially through the one or more apertures, and a cast seal disposed within the first body and surrounding each first insert. The second vessel closure has a second body, one or more apertures extending axially through the second body, one or more second inserts extending axially through the one or more apertures, and a cast seal disposed within the second body and surrounding each second insert.

Vessel closures and methods for using and manufacturing same

A fluid transfer assembly is described that includes a fitting comprising a lumen having an opening, and at least one barb, the at least one barb extending circumferentially around the lumen proximate to the opening. The assembly also includes a flexible conduit, a deformable sleeve, and an elastomeric liner disposed between the sleeve and the conduit. The fitting extends at least partially into the conduit such that the conduit extends over the at least one barb. The elastomeric liner applies substantially 360 degree radial pressure to the conduit such that the conduit is sealingly compressed around the at least one barb of the fitting. The assembly is fluid tight up to a burst pressure of the conduit.

The first end defines a first opening that has a first diameter and the second end defines a second opening that has a second diameter different from the first diameter. The body has an inner surface defining a channel that extends from the first opening to the second opening. The inner surface smoothly extending from the first end to the second end. The first connector configured to prevent foaming of media flowed therethrough as a flow diameter of the media transition from the first diameter to the second diameter.
