A separator having a pressure differential generating system is disclosed. The pressure differential generating system generates a pressure differential with respect to a screen of the separator. Fluid is supplied to the pressure differential generating device to generate the pressure differential across a screen of the separator. The separator can be utilized to separate drill cuttings from drilling fluid to increase an amount of drilling fluid recovered as a result of the pressure differential.

Separator and method of separation with a pressure differential device

An apparatus, a system and a method for reinforcing a screen has a screen rod assembly extending from a first end to a second end. The screen rod assembly encloses an interior. A spring-loaded plunger is located in the interior and adjusts the length of the screen rod assembly. A ball joint is on the screen rod and defines sections of the screen rod assembly that bend around the ball joint to reduce the length of the screen rod. A sleeve extends from a screen with segments separated by a fold line extending along a width of the screen. The sleeve receives the screen rod assembly to reinforce the screen. In an embodiment, a screen pinch assembly is defined where the sleeve engages a retention clasp of a screen tensioning system that receives the screen. The screen pinch assembly holds the screen in place.

A fluid distribution apparatus including a housing configured to receive a drilling material and direct the drilling material onto a separatory surface; and a damper coupled to the housing and configured to distribute a flow of the drilling material onto the separatory surface is disclosed.

A wellbore strengthening material collection system including a vibratory separator having a top deck, a middle deck, and a bottom deck, and also including a collection trough coupled to at least one of the decks and configured to receive wellbore strengthening materials from the at least one of the decks. Additionally, a collection trough including a body having an inlet and an outlet, an angled surface disposed within the body and at least on extension surface extending form the body and configured to secure the collection trough to a vibratory separator.

A shaker for separating solids from a drilling fluid includes a top screening deck (), a flow-back pan () positioned beneath the top screening deck () for receiving an initially separated drilling fluid from the top screening deck. The flow-back pan () is divided into a plurality of channels (A, B, C, D). The shaker further includes a fluid distribution box (), which includes a plurality of conduits (A, B, C, D). Each channel (A, B, C, D) of the flow-back pan () corresponds to one of the plurality of conduits (A, B, C, D) in the fluid distribution box () and each channel communicates a stream of the initially separated drilling fluid to the corresponding conduit. The shaker further includes a middle screening deck () and a bottom screening deck (). Each conduit (A, B, C, D) routes the stream of initially separated drilling fluid to a corresponding one of the middle screening deck () and the bottom screening deck ().

Fluid distribution for a shaker

A magnetic clamping system for a shale shaker including at least one screen having at least two side ends extending between a first side and a second side and at least one attachment surface. The system further includes at least one mating surface of the shale shaker configured to receive the at least one screen, and at least one magnet disposed between the at least one screen and the shale shaker, wherein the at least one magnet is configured to magnetically couple the at least one screen directly to the shale shaker. Additionally, the system includes at least one decoupling apparatus, the decoupling apparatus having a handle disposed proximate a perimeter of a shale shaker, and at least one shaft that extends horizontally between the handle and one of the at least one magnet, wherein the handle is rotatable to reverse the polarity of the magnet.

A vibratory separator including a frame, a screen configured to connect to the frame, a first actuator coupled to the frame, and a second actuator coupled to the frame, wherein the first actuator imparts a high frequency motion to the frame, and wherein the second actuator imparts a low frequency acceleratory motion to the frame is disclosed. A gasket for a shaker screen in a vibratory separator includes an outer peripheral section including an end section from which a upper lip segment and a lower lip segment project inward to generally define a U-shaped channel, wherein the outer peripheral section is formed from an electrically conductive elastomeric material, a partial upper lip projecting inward from the upper lip segment, wherein the partial upper lip is formed from a white elastomeric material, and a partial lower lip projecting inward from the lower lip segment, wherein the partial lower lip is formed from a white elastomeric material.

RF shielding gasket for vibratory separator

A retainer holds an electronic communication device used to detect breaks in porous elements of material separators to the frame of the separator. The retainer includes a ferrule affixed around a hole through the frame of the separator, a housing made from an RF transmissible material sealingly held within the ferrule, and a cap sealingly held against the ferrule. The electronic component is held by the cap such that it is situated within the housing. Such a retainer is affixed to frames of the separator on opposing sides of a porous element so that a transmitter may be retained in a first retainer and a receiver retained in a second retainer. The transmission of a signal from the transmitter that is received by the receiver indicates a break in the porous element between the components.
