A transparent, electrically-conductive film and associated method of making the transparent, electrically-conductive film. The transparent, electrically-conductive film includes a substrate, a percolating network of nanostructures establishing electrical conductivity across a region of the substrate, and an overcoat matrix coated onto the substrate. The nanostructures have an average diameter value. The percolating network of nanostructures is located within the overcoat matrix. The overcoat matrix and the percolating network of nanostructures therein have an overall thickness that is less than four times the average diameter value of the nanostructures.

Thin electrically conductive film

A method of fabricating a transparent conductor is provided. The method includes forming a nanowire dispersion layer on a substrate, forming a nanowire network layer on the substrate by drying the nanowire dispersion layer, and forming a matrix material layer on the nanowire network layer.

Composite transparent conductors are described, which comprise a primary conductive medium based on metal nanowires and a secondary conductive medium based on a continuous conductive film.

Composite transparent conductors and methods of forming the same

A transparent conductor including a conductive layer coated on a substrate is described. More specifically, the conductive layer comprises a network of nanowires that may be embedded in a matrix. The conductive layer is optically clear, patternable and is suitable as a transparent electrode in visual display devices such as touch screens, liquid crystal displays, plasma display panels and the like.

Nanowire-based transparent conductors and applications thereof

A method of fabricating a transparent conductor includes the following steps. The first step is drawing a substrate from a first reel to a second reel along a travelling path, and along the travelling path. Next step is forming a metal nanowire dispersion layer on the substrate and then drying the metal nanowire dispersion layer to form a metal nanowire network layer. Next step is forming a matrix layer on the metal nanowire network layer so as to form a conductive layer of the metal nanowire network layer embedded in the matrix layer.

Methods are provided for detecting low copy nucleic acids of interest in a sample. In one method, a sample comprising a nucleic acid of interest is aliquotted into a plurality of reaction mixtures, at least two of which are single-copy reaction mixtures. The reaction mixtures are subjected to one or more amplification reactions while flowing through a channel of a microfluidic device. At least one of the reaction mixtures is formulated in an aqueous phase of an emulsion comprising aqueous droplets suspended in an immiscible liquid. The nucleic acid of interest is present as a single copy in at least one aqueous droplet of the aqueous phase prior to performing the amplification reaction(s). Amplification is performed on the reaction mixture when it is formulated in the emulsion. The nucleic acid is continuously flowed during a plurality of steps of the method.

A method for forming a transparent conductor including a conductive layer coated on a substrate is described. The method comprises depositing a plurality of metal nanowires on a surface of a substrate, the metal nanowires being dispersed in a liquid; and forming a metal nanowire network layer on the substrate by allowing the liquid to dry.

The present disclosure relates to modifications to nanostructure based transparent conductors to achieve increased haze/light-scattering with different and tunable degrees of scattering, different materials, and different microstructures and nanostructures.

This invention provides methods and systems for injection of analytes into a separation channel for resolution and detection. Samples can be preconditioned and concentrated by isotachophoresis (ITP) before the injection is triggered by a detected voltage event. Separation of analytes from other sample constituents can be enhanced using skewing channel ITP.
