A photoconductor that includes a supporting substrate, a first photogenerating layer, a second photogenerating layer and at least one charge transport layer. The first photogenerating layer contains, for example, a phthalocyanine pigment, and the second photogenerating layer contains a different phthalocyanine pigment than the first photogenerating layer phthalocyanine.

Photoconductors

A photoconductor containing an optional supporting substrate, a silanol containing photogenerating layer, at least one charge transport layer, and a top overcoating layer in contact with and contiguous to the charge transport layer.

Photoconductors with silanol-containing photogenerating layer

An apparatus in which a donor roll advances toner to an electrostatic latent image recorded on a photoconductive member. A plurality of electrical conductors are located in grooves in the donor roll. The electrical conductors are spaced from one another and adapted to be electrically biased in the development zone to detach toner from the donor roll so as to form a toner cloud in the development zone. In the development zone, toner is attracted from the toner cloud to the latent image. In this way, the latent image is developed with toner.

Also disclosed is a photoresponsive electrophotographic device comprised of a supporting substrate, an uncompensated amorphous silicon layer and an amorphous silicon composition containing from about 100 parts per million by weight to about 1 weight percent of boron compensated with from about 25 parts per million by weight to about 1 weight percent of phosphorous, wherein the compensation increases from zero percent compensation to one percent compensation, for a distance of from about 0.1 microns to about 5 microns, which distance extends from the uncompensated amorphous silicon layer to the compensated amorphous silicon layer or wherein the photoresponsive device is comprised of a supporting substrate, an uncompensated amorphous silicon composition, a compensated amorphous silicon composition, containing from about 100 parts per million by weight to about 1 weight percent of boron compensated with from about 25 parts per million by weight to about 1 weight percent of phosphorous, wherein the compensation increases from zero percent compensation to one percent compensation, for a distance of from about 0.1 microns to about 5 microns, which distance extends from the uncompensated amorphous silicon layer to the compensated amorphous silicon layer and a top overcoating layer of silicon nitride, silicon carbide, or amorphous carbon.

Electrophotographic devices containing compensated amorphous silicon

Disclosed is an electrographic imaging member consisting essentially of a supporting substrate, a hydrogenated amorphous silicon photogenerating layer, and in contact therewith a charge transporting layer of plasma deposited silicon oxide containing at least 50 atomic percent of oxygen.
