Provided herein are polymer compositions comprising a polymer and polyethylene glycol (PEG)-based polymer processing aid (PPA). The polyethylene glycol can have molecular weight less than 40,000 g/mol. The polymer can be a C-Colefin homopolymer or a copolymer of two or more C-Cα-olefins, and the polymer composition can take the form of polymer pellets; a polymer melt; reactor-grade polymer granules and/or polymer slurries; or other form of polymer composition containing the PPA and optionally one or more other additives. The polymer composition is preferably free or substantially free of fluorine, including fluoropolymer-based PPAs.

Fluorine-free polymer processing aids including polyethylene glycols

Provided herein are polymer compositions comprising a polymer and polymer processing aid (PPA) comprising a blend of at least two of: (i) a polyethylene glycol; (ii) a surfactant comprising a sorbitan ester or a polysorbate; and (iii) a metal salt of a fatty acid. The polymer can be a C-Colefin homopolymer or a copolymer of two or more C-C&#x3b1;-olefins, and the polymer composition can take the form of polymer pellets; a polymer melt; reactor-grade polymer granules and/or polymer slurries; or other form of polymer composition containing the PPA and optionally one or more other additives. The polymer composition is preferably free or substantially free of fluorine, including fluoropolymer-based PPAs.

Fluorine-free polymer processing aid blends

Provided herein are polymer compositions and methods of making them, including blending a polymer and a polyethylene glycol (PEG) masterbatch. The PEG masterbatch can include one or more PEGs each having molecular weight less than 40,000 g/mol. The polymer can be a C-Colefin homopolymer or a copolymer of two or more C-C&#x3b1;-olefins. The PEG masterbatch and resulting polymer composition is preferably free or substantially free of fluorine, including fluoropolymer-based PPAs.

Polyethylene glycol-based polymer processing aid masterbatches

A saw guide system for securing a panel and providing a guide for a saw to cut a straight line across the panel includes a sawhorse being positioned on a support surface. A first rail is coupled to a top plate of the sawhorse. The first rail supports the panel when the panel is positioned on the sawhorse. A support mount is attached to the first rail. A second rail is pivotally coupled to the first rail by the support mount. The second rail is vertically spaced from the first rail to allow the panel to be placed on the first rail. The second rail is pivoted towards the first rail to position the panel between the second rail and the first rail. The second rail is abutted by a saw to maintain a straight cut across the panel when the saw is used to cut the panel.
