A locking assembly for locking a portable electronic device to a work surface. The locking assembly comprises a clamp assembly including an elongated bar that extends between a first end and a second end. The clamp assembly further includes a first jaw and a second jaw movable along the elongated bar for clamping to a work surface between the first and second jaws. A connector extends from a first connector end that is pivotally connected to the locking assembly to a second end that can be connected to the portable electronic device. The connector securing the portable electronic device to the work surface while permitting it to pivot with respect to the locking assembly.

A scrolling billboard having a frame, a first pair of mandrels mounted within the frame supporting an elongate banner having multiple sign images. One sign image is viewable within the frame opening. A pair of sign drive motors are connected to the first pair of mandrels. A second pair of mandrels move a curtain relative to the frame opening between a blocked position where view of the sign is obstructed and a viewing position in which view of the sign is unobstructed. The mandrels are tubular and internally supported by mandrel supports to prevent sagging. A controller cooperates with the sign and curtain drive motors to change the viewable image by: moving the curtain to the closed position, changing the sign image, and returning the curtain to the viewing position. An add/remove fixture is disclosed to insert or remove signs from the banner. A corresponding method is also disclosed.

A de-coupling mechanism includes a link slidably received in a link aperture of a bracket. A pin is slidably received in a pin bore of the link and a receiving bore of the bracket. A first block is connected to the bracket and includes an initiator receiving passage in communication with the pin bore. An initiator is positioned in the initiator receiving passage and retained against a connecting passage edge and oppositely contacts an end face of a cap connected to the first block. A second block connected to the bracket includes a longitudinal channel having a channel diameter larger than a pin diameter so the pin is freely displaceable into the longitudinal channel. An end face of a retaining cap is connected to a second block end wall. The retaining cap includes a stepped portion having a step diameter smaller than the channel diameter and the pin diameter.
