An image sensor system can include a housing assembly that defines a lens receiving aperture, the lens receiving aperture having an inner diameter. The image sensor system includes a lens assembly that includes a lens housing portion and a fastener configured to be received by the lens housing portion to secure the lens housing portion to the housing assembly. The inner diameter is sized such that the lens receiving aperture mates with the lens housing portion.

A lens assembly includes a lens having an inner surface and an outer surface. A lens barrel supports the lens and has outer and inner lens barrel ends separated by a longitudinal axis. The lens is arranged along the longitudinal axis to span the outer lens barrel end such that the inner surface of the lens is within the lens barrel and the outer surface of the lens is outside the lens barrel. A heater element is located within the lens barrel. The heater element has a heater element electrical lead extending radially and longitudinally therefrom to provide power to the heater element. A carrier ring extends circumferentially around at least a portion of an outside lens barrel surface adjacent the inner lens barrel end. The carrier ring includes at least one lead station radially aligned with the heater element electrical lead.

Lens assembly

A driver assist system for a vehicle includes a camera having a housing and a lens extending from the housing. A mounting bracket has a mounting wall connectable with a vehicle window and the camera. The mounting wall has a first mounting surface configured to face the vehicle window, and a second mounting surface configured to face away from the vehicle window. At least one bracket wall extends from the second mounting surface and has an edge that engages the housing. At least one resilient arm extends from the at least one bracket wall and engages the housing. At least one resilient tab extends from the mounting wall and engages the housing. The at least one resilient tab urges the housing into engagement with the edge and maintains the housing engaged to the edge.

Mounting arrangement

A driver assist system for a vehicle. The driver assist system includes a bracket having a mounting face. The mounting face is adapted to be attached to a part of the vehicle. The bracket includes a first locating member extending from the mounting face. A module is received in the bracket to secure the module to the part of the vehicle. The module has a camera lens extending from a first face and a first module locating member extending from the first face. One of the first bracket locating member and the first module locating member is linearly received within one other of the first bracket locating member and the first module locating member when the module is received in the bracket to maintain an orientation of the module relative to the bracket.

Driver assist system

A vehicle driver assist system includes a housing having a main body portion and a viewing window in the main body portion. A camera is provided in the main body portion and has a field of view through the viewing window. A glare reduction portion is adjacent the camera. The glare reduction portion has a textured surface for attenuating light reflection off of the glare reduction portion and into the camera.

A mounting arrangement for securing a housing to a windshield of the vehicle includes a mounting bracket having a plurality of keyhole slots, each having a receiving opening at one end of the keyhole slot, a locking recess at another end of the keyhole slot, and a ramp connecting the receiving opening with the locking recess. A plurality of mounting posts each including a base portion, a head portion, and a collar portion are mounted to the windshield and positioned to align with associated keyhole slots in the mounting bracket. The keyhole slots and the mounting posts are arranged such that the head portion of each mounting post is received into the receiving opening of its associate keyhole slot, slidable up the ramp of its associated keyhole slot, and lockable into the locking recess of its associated keyhole slot. The housing is attachable to the mounting bracket.

Mounting arrangement for a driver assist system housing

The invention provides a transmission and/or reception device for mounting on a wheel of a vehicle and a housing for such a device. The device includes a tire information device configured to provide information relating to a tire. A transmitter/receiver is electrically connected to the tire information device. An antenna is electrically connected to the transmitter/receiver for transmitting and/or receiving radio frequency signals. A housing is configured to house the tire information device and the transmitter/receiver. The antenna is formed by winding a cable on an outside face of the housing.
