An anchor assembly is provided that permits adjustment of the brake shoes in a drum brake to account for wear. The assembly includes first and second adjuster shafts each having a plurality of threads and first and second pilot connectors. The pilot connectors each have a plurality of threads in engagement with the threads of a corresponding adjuster shaft. The pilot connectors each engage one end of a corresponding brake shoe. Rotation of each adjuster shaft causes longitudinal movement of a corresponding pilot connector in engagement with a corresponding brake shoe along an axis to adjust a position of the brake shoe.

Variable position anchor assembly for adjusting brake shoes in a drum brake

A vehicle suspension having a trailing arm, an air spring assembly and a spacer. The spacer is removably located between the trailing arm and the air spring assembly. Either or both of the top surface or the bottom surface of the spacer are tapered.

Suspension adaptor

A suspension is provided that eliminates welded connections between the suspension control arm and the axle. The suspension includes a control arm coupled to a vehicle frame. The control arm has a first sleeve, through which an axle is received. The first sleeve of the control arm has a radially inner surface that tapers. The suspension further includes a second sleeve configured to be received within the first sleeve, about the axle. The second sleeve has a radially outer surface that tapers complementary to the radially surface of the first sleeve. As the second sleeve is urged inward within the first sleeve, the second sleeve clamps down upon the axle.

Tapered sleeve suspension arm joint

A device for adjusting the position of suspension control arm and, consequently, wheel caster is provided. The device includes a fastener that couples a suspension control arm between a pair of support members in a vehicle frame. Shim packs are supported on the fastener on either side of the control arm between the control arm and the frame support members. The shim packs include shims having open-ended slots for easy addition or removal. Each shim pack may further include a pair of ring shaped members disposed about the fastener, and coupled to the shims of its respective shim pack. The shims are held together using a coupling element such as a cotter pin, however, to prevent the shims from becoming dislodged. The position of the control arm may be adjusted by swapping shims between the first and second shim packs.

An integral yoke/slinger assembly replaces a conventional two-piece design. The integral yoke/slinger arrangement provides a new and improved shaft seal particularly adapted for use in yoke and flange arrangement exposed to a heavy concentration of air entrained foreign material, whereby a more efficient and economical method for manufacturing and assembling a yoke, slinger and seal arrangement for a drive axle system is provided.
