A wire containment structure includes a container and a bag. The container includes a sidewall that at least partially defines a container receptacle. The sidewall defines a first handle aperture and a second handle aperture. The bag is configured to entirely support a wire stack. The bag is disposed at least partially within the container receptacle and comprises a body, a first handle, and a second handle. The body defines a wire receptacle. The first handle is coupled with the body and is routed through the first handle aperture. The second handle is coupled with the body and is routed through the second handle aperture.

Wire containment structure including container and bag

A wire payoff structure includes a plurality of arm members, a first ring, a second ring, and a third ring. The first ring is coupled with each of the arm members. The second ring is coupled with each of the arm members and is spaced radially outwardly from the first ring. The third ring is coupled with each of the arm members and is spaced radially outwardly from the second ring. A portion of each arm member passes beneath the third ring to facilitate contact with an underlying wire stack.

Wire dispensing system including wire payoff structure

A package for containing and dispensing wire from a coil of welding wire. The package having an outer layer with a bottom and an outer side wall having an upper edge defining a box opening for removing the wire from the package. The package further including an inner core positioned within the inner cylindrical opening of the wire coil wherein the inner core has a base supported by the package bottom and an oppositely facing core top. The core base being generally maintained relatively to the package bottom to prevent the core from 'walking-up' the wire coil and the core top being allowed to tilt as the wire exits the package.

Welding wire package

A container for packaging and unwinding a coil of welding wire. The wire coil being formed by a plurality of convolutions of welding wire. The container including an outer container having at least one vertically extending side wall, a wire receiving cavity within the outer container for receiving the wire coil, a closed bottom and a top opening for removing the welding wire. The container further including a foam intermixed in the wire coil.

Welding wire container and method of making the same

A payoff ring constructed from high density polyethylene includes a beveled inner circumference that guides ductile wire, such as aluminum welding wire, from a coil packaged in a box-like container. The body of the payoff ring is fashioned with holes or cavities that significantly reduce the weight of the payoff ring by up to 50% of the overall weight. The payoff ring floats freely in the box-like container and guides the wire as it is being withdrawn from the container while not distorting the wire. The outer configuration of the payoff ring is constructed to engage to the sides of the container thereby preventing the payoff from rotating during use.

Guide ring for coiled wire

A retainer ring for use in a welding wire package wherein the package houses a coil of welding wire positioned in a coil receiving cavity in the package. The coil extends about a vertically extending coil axis and includes a coil bottom, an oppositely facing coil top, a radially extending outer cylindrical surface and a radially inner cylindrical surface. The ring haves an annular ring body extending about a ring axis with an outer peripheral edge and an inner peripheral edge. The ring body further includes a top surface extending between the outer and inner peripheral edges and an oppositely facing bottom surface extending between the outer and inner peripheral edges. The bottom surface of the body can be configured to rest on the coil top and the outer peripheral edge is sized to allow the ring to descend within the wire receiving cavity as the wire is unwound from the wire coil. The ring body further includes a thickness between the top and the bottom surfaces of the ring body such that the ring body can be rigid. The ring body further includes a plurality of upwardly opened pockets each having a pocket depth and a pocket perimeter and have a pocket density less than the density of the ring body.

Retainer ring for a wire package and method of making the same

A container for packaging and unwinding a coil of welding wire to allow an uninterrupted flow of the welding wire from one the container to another container. The coil of welding wire, including a coiled portion having a top and a bottom, a first extension of wire extending from the coil near the coil top to a feeding end and a second extension of wire extending from the coil near the bottom to a transfer end. The transfer end of one container being joinable to the feeding end of another container. The container including an outer packaging having at least one vertically extending sidewall, a closed bottom, a top opening for removing the welding wire and a wire coil receiving cavity within the outer packaging for receiving the wire coil. The feeding end and the transfer end can be positionable near the top opening. The container further includes at least one transfer control tab in the cavity near the top opening. The at least one tab is configured to selectively support the transfer end of the wire during the unwinding of the wire from the coil and to selectively release the transfer end during the transfer from the one container to the other container.

Endless wire container and method of using the same

A device is provided for feeding an endless welding wire stored in a first container in a first coil generally concentric with a first vertical axis and a second container in a second coil generally concentric with a second vertical axis spaced longitudinally from the first axis in a given direction. The novel device including a track element extending in a path generally including the coil axes and extending above the coils in the given direction. A grommet, with a vertical wire receiving guide opening, is mounted on a support mechanism carried by the track element for movement of the grommet above the coils and along the path of the track element.

Feeder for endless welding wire

A floating liner for a container of welding wire which floating liner includes a tube having two ends and a passageway extending between the two ends. The floating liner is unsupported between the top of the container and the retaining ring. The floating liner is designed to provide structural support to the wire and added stiffness or rigidity to the wire to inhibit buckling of the wire, knot formation in the wire that can form between the retaining ring and the top of the container. The floating liner has a weight profile that causes one end of the tube to at least partially float above the top surface of a layer of welding wire or retaining ring in the container as the welding wire is paid out of the container.
