The instant disclosure generally relates to a multicomponent composition for coating mammalian or synthetic keratin material and textiles, the composition comprising a first and second components and a third component. The first and second components comprise first and second compounds respectively. Any one or more of the first, second and third components may also comprise pigment microparticles. The first, second and third compounds meld together on keratin material and textiles and especially on hair to form a coating that can be formulated to provide temporary coverage or provide permanent coverage. The multicomponent composition formed and set in situ as a solid linked coating ranges from ready removability to substantially permanent lastingness.

Multicomponent composition (Michael addition)

Herein is disclosed an elastomeric silicone composition comprising at least a first and a second glycerol phase which are distinct from each other and a method of making the same. Methods for forming macroporous monolithic methylsilsesquioxanes

Siliceous materials were prepared by adding one or more additives, including one or more water soluble polymers, and derivatives thereof, as well as trifunctional silanes, to sols containing tetraalkoxysilanes derived from polyols. The polymers facilitate phase separation of the growing silica gel matrix, leading to high surface area self-supporting silica gels with cure occurring at ambient temperatures. The materials also show a significant reduction in shrinkage properties and significant protein stabilization abilities.

Protein compatible methods and compounds for controlling the morphology and shrinkage of silica derived from polyol-modified silanes

Disclosed are silicone polymer based compounds, which include a hydrophobic silicone polymer backbone and a hydrophilic component. The hydrophilic component may act as a chelating agent to bind a metal. The hydrophilic component may be hydrophilic prior to binding with a metal or after binding. Also disclosed are methods of making these compounds. The compounds are useful in a variety of applications.

Chelating silicone polymers

A particulate carrier for an agent comprising a solid core of a polysaccharide and a proteinaceous material and an organometallic polymer bonded to the core is provided. The agent has a biological activity, such as immunogenicity, and may comprise the proteinaceous material or be a separate component of the core. Polysaccharide cores include dextran, starch, cellulose and derivatives thereof and the organometallic polymer includes silicones including substituted silicones. The particulate carriers are useful for delivering agents to the immune system of a subject by mucosal or parenteral administration to produce immune responses, including antibody responses.
