A method implemented in an audio synthesis device for synthesizing an audio signal is provided. The method includes determining a first plurality of harmonics based on a sinusoidal oscillator, at least two of the first plurality of harmonics being calculated in parallel, scaling the first plurality of harmonics according to a scaling parameter, determining a first sum of the first plurality of scaled harmonics to generate a first sample of the plurality of samples, determining a second plurality of harmonics based on the sinusoidal oscillator, at least two of the second plurality of harmonics being calculated in parallel, scaling the second plurality of harmonics according to the scaling parameter, determining a second sum of the second plurality of scaled harmonics to generate a second sample of the plurality of samples, and causing playback, on the speaker, of at least the first sample and the second sample.

A method, system, server and device are disclosed. According to one or more embodiments, a server is provided. A first audio track is received which includes first audio originating from a premises client at a premises location. A second audio track is received which includes second audio originating from a remote client. A first pan angle is determined for the first audio track and a second pan angle is determined for the second audio track. The second pan angle is different from the first pan angle. A stereo composite track is generated based on the first pan angle and the second pan angle, where the stereo composite track includes the first audio track and the second audio track.

According to one or more embodiments, a playback device is provided. The device includes processing circuitry configured to receive a video stream including a plurality of video packets, where each of the plurality of video packets is associated with a respective video timestamp value. The playback device is further configured to store at least one of the plurality of video packets in a jitter buffer, and to adjust each of the respective video timestamp values by a respective delay value, where each of the respective delay values is either a dynamic delay value based on a first condition being satisfied or a fixed delay value based on a second condition being satisfied. The playback device is further configured to play the video stream according to the adjusted video timestamp values for reduced initial delay at the jitter buffer.

Particular embodiments generally relate to video compression. In one embodiment, a store of reference frames is provided in memory. The reference frames may be classified based on a plurality of classifiers. The classifiers may correspond to features that are found in the reference frame. A frame to encode is then received. The frame is analyzed to determine features found in the frame. As macroblocks in the frame are encoded, a macroblock is analyzed to determine which feature may be included in the macroblock. The feature is used to determine a classifier, which is used to determine a subset of the reference frames. The subset is then searched to determine a reference frame for the macroblock.

A method, and apparatus, and logic encoded in one or more computer-readable media to carry out a method. The method is to sample analog video at a sample clock rate and at a phase selected from a set of phases based on a quality measure determined from the sampled video. The quality measure is based on statistics of pixel to pixel differences in a coordinate of the generated digital video that have a magnitude exceeding a pre-determined threshold.

An apparatus embodiment is operative to scale video and includes an input buffer coupled to a real time source of video data and configured to hold a number of lines of video, a horizontal resizer coupled to the input buffer to resize lines of image data, outputting horizontally scaled line(s) to an intermediate buffer configured to store a number of lines. The apparatus has a vertical resizer coupled to the intermediate buffer configured to output vertically and horizontally resized lines of image data. At any given time, some of the lines in the input buffer are scheduled using the DMA controller for replacement via DMA by lines generated by the source of video data, and some or all of the remaining lines in the input buffer are available for processing by the horizontal resizer. A sufficient number of lines are available in the intermediate buffer, such that in operation, the intermediate buffer need not introduce latency.
