A military vehicle includes a passenger capsule including a floor and sidewalls, a door coupled to the passenger capsule, a front module coupled to a front of the passenger capsule, a rear module coupled to a rear of the passenger capsule, and a battery pack coupled to an exterior of the passenger capsule, the door, the front module, or the rear module. The battery pack includes a battery that is removably coupled to the exterior of the passenger capsule, the door, the front module, or the rear module.

A vehicle includes a frame, a front cabin, an armor component, and a retainer. The front cabin is coupled to the frame and selectively repositionable between an in-use position and a maintenance position. The retainer is coupled to the armor component and defines a slot extending laterally across a portion of the retainer. The vehicle is reconfigurable between an A-kit configuration and a B-kit configuration. In the A-kit configuration, the armor component is removed from the vehicle. In the B-kit configuration, the armor component is coupled to the front cabin. The retainer is offset the armor component by a retainer spacer.

A vehicle includes a frame, a series of tractive assemblies coupled to the frame, a cabin, and a mount. The mount includes a boss coupled to the cabin, a first bracket pivotably coupled to the boss, a second bracket coupled to the frame, and a first isolator and a second isolator extending between the first bracket and the second bracket and coupling the first bracket to the second bracket.

Cabin assembly

A vehicle includes a frame extending longitudinally, a front cabin coupled to the frame and configured to accept at least one occupant, and a support coupled to the frame. The vehicle is reconfigurable between an A-kit configuration and a B-kit configuration. In the A-kit configuration, a spacer extends between the frame and the support and couples the support to the frame, and an armor component is removed from between the frame and the support. In the B-kit configuration, the armor component extends between the frame and the support and couples the support to the frame, and the spacer is removed from between the frame and the support.

A vehicle includes a frame, tractive assemblies engaging the frame, a cabin configured to contain at least one operator during operation of the vehicle, and a mount configured to pivotably couple the cabin to the frame. The mount includes a boss coupled to the cabin and defining a first aperture, a first bracket defining a second aperture, a pin extending through the first and second apertures, a second bracket coupled to the frame, and a pair of isolators extending between the first bracket and the second bracket. The isolators are configured to couple the first bracket to the second bracket and to reduce the transfer of vibrations between the frame and the cabin. The cabin is configured to rotate between use position and maintenance positions. The cabin is positioned near the frame in the use position and rotated away from the frame in the maintenance position.

A vehicle includes a frame, front cabin, and an armor component. The vehicle is reconfigurable between a B-kit configuration where the armor component is coupled to the vehicle, and an A-kit configuration where the armor component is removed. The armor component is configured to be coupled to at least one of a plurality of bosses disposed on a front wall or a side wall of the vehicle. A vehicle may also include at least two frame rails, a support, and a spacer that is coupled to at least one of the frame rails and the support. The armor component may replace the spacer in the B-kit configuration. The armor component may be an underbody armor panel. The vehicle may further include a retainer to simplify the conversion between the A-kit and a B-kit configurations and a step.

An armored vehicle includes a body, a frame member extending longitudinally along a length of the body, and an armor assembly. The armor assembly includes an armor panel and a blast attenuator. The armor panel extends laterally outward from the frame member and is positioned at least partially underneath the body, and the blast attenuator is configured to deform during a blast event. The frame member is coupled to an inner portion of the armor panel with the blast attenuator.

A vehicle includes a chassis and a seating system. The seating system includes a frame coupled to the chassis, a seat cushion supported by at least one of the frame and a floor of the vehicle, a first recoverable insert configured to provide a first energy attenuation response, and a second recoverable insert configured to provide a second energy attenuation response different than the first energy attenuation response. The seat cushion defines a cavity shaped to interchangeably receive either the first recoverable insert or the second recoverable insert to thereby selectively vary an energy attenuation provided by the seating system.

A structural blast tunnel for a vehicle includes a frame member, a first mounting interface, and a second mounting interface. The frame member includes an elongated curved portion having a first end, a second end, and a middle portion disposed between the first end and the second end. The frame member further includes a first sidewall and a second sidewall extending downwardly from the elongated curved portion. The frame member forms a structurally rigid section configured to direct blast energy outwards towards the first end and the second end.

A vehicle includes a structural frame member including a structural tunnel, a first frame coupled to the structural tunnel and configured to engage a first axle assembly and a first suspension assembly, a second frame coupled to the structural tunnel and configured to engage a second axle assembly and a second suspension assembly, a cab assembly coupled to the structural tunnel, and an isolated joint positioned to support the cab assembly. The cab assembly is isolated from the structural tunnel, the first frame, and the second frame. The isolated joint includes a first bracket associated with the structural tunnel, a second bracket associated with the cab assembly, and a resilient member.

A structural blast tunnel for a military vehicle includes a frame member that includes an elongated curved portion having a first end, a second end, and a middle portion disposed between the first end and the second end. The structural blast tunnel also includes a first mounting interface coupled to the first end and extending along the longitudinal axis of the frame member. The first mounting interface is configured to receive one of a front sub-frame and a standard frame of a vehicle. The structural blast tunnel finally includes a second mounting interface coupled to the second end and extending along the longitudinal axis of the frame member. The second mounting interface is configured to receive one of a rear sub-frame and a standard frame of a vehicle, and the frame member forms a structurally rigid section configured to direct blast energy outwards towards the first and second end. The structural blast tunnel may also include a secondary shield that increases the blast performance of this system.

A blast resistant vehicle is disclosed that includes a structural frame member, a first frame coupled to the structural frame member and configured to receive a first axle assembly and a first suspension assembly, a second frame coupled to the structural frame member and configured to receive a second axle assembly and a second suspension assembly, and a cab assembly having a front portion and a rear portion and having a floor panel, a front firewall, a rear body panel, a first side panel, and a second side panel. The cab assembly is isolated from the structural frame member, the front sub-frame, and the rear sub-frame.

An armor assembly is disclosed that includes a frame member, an underbody armor panel having an inner portion and an outer portion, and a first crushable member including a wall configured to deform during a blast event. The frame member is coupled to the underbody armor panel with the first crushable member.
