The disclosure relates to a method, computer program product and system for decreasing the risk of erroneously handling a tool in a machine operation. The system includes a reader device for reading a machine readable code arranged at a tool part and an electronic device having a processing circuitry configured to cause the system to receive desired operation data indicative of a tool part to be used during the machine operation. The method includes the steps of receiving desired operation data indicative of the tool part to be used during the machine operation, detecting the identification marker at the tool part, reading, by the reader device, the machine readable code of the identification marker, identifying the tool part, and determining if the identified tool part corresponds to the tool part according to the desired operation data, the identification marker being a machine readable code associated with the tool part.

System, method and computer program product for decreasing the risk of erroneously handling of a tool in a machine operation

A system, method and computer program product arranged for managing the operation of a machine and tracing the use of a cutting edge of a cutting tool used in the operation of the machine. The method includes the steps of reading an identification marker of a cutting edge of a cutting tool inserted into the machine, decoding the identification marker to determine a cutting edge information data associated with the cutting edge, obtaining machine operation data associated with the operation of the machine from the machine, and generating a first association data indicative of the cutting edge information data and the machine operation data.

System and method for tracing the use of a cutting edge

A system for utilizing an identification marker on a tool part for determining a dimension thereof. The system includes a reader device for reading a machine readable code, and an electronic device connected to the reader device. The electronic device has a processing circuitry that causes the system to detect with the reader device, an identification marker at a tool part, wherein the identification marker is a unique machine readable code read by the reader device, and the unique machine readable code of the identification marker, and obtain from the unique machine readable code, individual dimension information data including at least one individually measured dimension of the tool part measured when manufacturing the tool part. A method and a computer program product for utilizing an identification marker on a tool part to be used for determining a dimension of the tool part and to a tool part is also provided.

A method for manufacturing a sintered body having one or more hard constituents in a metallic binder phase, the method including the steps of forming a green body from a powder composition including at least the one or more hard constituents, the metallic binder phase, and an organic binder system, forming a pattern in a surface of the green body such as to provide a tag enabling individual identification of the green body, and sintering the green body with the tag to form a sintered body having a smaller volume than the green body. The pattern is formed such that the tag is readable after the sintering operation.
