Disclosed are a method and an apparatus for generating metadata of immersive media and disclosed also are an apparatus and a method for transmitting metadata related information. The apparatus includes: at least one of a camera module photographing or capturing the image; a gyro module sensing horizontality; a global positioning sensor (GPS) module calculating a position by receiving a satellite signal; and an audio module recording audio; and a network module receiving sensor effect information from a sensor aggregator through a wireless communication network; and an application generating metadata by performing timer-synchronization of an image photographed based on the camera module, a sensor effect collected by using the gyro module or the GPS module, or audio collected based on the audio module.

Method and apparatus for generating metadata of immersive media

An image encoding method using a Binary Partition Tree (BPT) includes performing the BPT on a reference frame, detecting blocks, each having a difference in a pixel value exceeding a threshold value in a current frame, based on a result of the BPT of the reference frame, and performing the BPT of the current frame on the detected blocks. In accordance with the present invention, block partition is not applied to all frames, but a partial partition method based on a difference between the pixel values of a reference frame and a current frame to be encoded is provided. Accordingly, the encoding speed within the P frame or the B frame can be improved. Furthermore, the PSNR of a corresponding frame can be maintained within a specific range of the PSNR of a reference frame, and a compression effect can be improved.

Provided is a network global positioning system (GPS) terminal. The network GPS terminal includes: a GPS receiver receiving GPS data; a GPS processor processing the received GPS data to a predetermined form; a network communication part communicating with an external apparatus through a network in order to receive a request for the GPS data from the external apparatus, and transmit the processed GPS data to the external apparatus in response to the request; a security access controller authenticating the external apparatus; and a network management part managing connection information and security information of the external apparatus, the network communication part simultaneously communicating with at least one external apparatus using a TCP/IP protocol. Method and apparatus for providing GPS data using network

A method of generating a flow label of an Internet Protocol version 6 (IPv6) is provided. A terminal generates a flow label to have four tuple information selected from five tuple information according to the provided method when the terminal creates a header. A network device classifies flows based on the four tuple information in the flow label generated according to the provided method. Since the flow label is generated to include only selected information and the network device analyzes less amount of information to classify the flows, the processing overhead is reduced. Also, since the terminal generates the flow label with selected essential information to classify the flows, the network device can finely classify the flows. Therefore, the differentiated service can be provided.
