A display device may include a display panel, a first back cover disposed on a rear surface of the display panel, at least one flexible film which is electrically connected to one end of the display panel and is bent toward a rear surface of the first back cover or a front surface of the display panel, and a printed circuit board which is electrically connected to the at least one flexible film and disposed on the rear surface of the first back cover or the at least one flexible film. The printed circuit board overlaps one end of the display panel. Accordingly, one end of the display panel in which the pad area which is vulnerable to the stress is disposed and the printed circuit board are maintained to be flat, to minimize the damage of the display device.

Display device

Disclosed herein is a display device. The display device comprises: a mid cover; a display panel disposed on the mid cover and having a plurality of pixels defined therein; a plurality of back bars disposed under the mid cover; and a roller fixed to the mid cover. The mid cover, the display panel and the plurality of back bars are wound around or unwound from the roller.

A display device includes a display panel including a display area on which a plurality of display elements is disposed and a non-display area on which one or more wires for driving the plurality of display elements are disposed. A back cover is attached to one surface of the display panel and has a plurality of openings. A roller unit winds or unwinds the back cover and the display panel, and a lifting unit moves the back cover and the display panel in a vertical direction. The plurality of openings overlaps the display panel, and each of the plurality of openings is disposed to be staggered with one or more of the openings in an adjacent row. A size of the back cover is larger than a size of the display panel.

A display device includes: a display panel and a back cover which is disposed on one surface of the display panel and has a plurality of openings in which a left edge and a right edge among a plurality of edges of the back cover are bent toward the display panel. Therefore, a display device in which the left edge and the right edge of the back cover are bent to improve a sharp edge is provided and an injury risk of the user due to the sharp edge may be avoided.

A display device includes: a display panel and a back cover which supports the display panel on a rear surface of the display panel and includes a plurality of openings and a length of a lower edge of the back cover is larger than a length of an upper edge of the back cover. Therefore, when the display device is rolled, a rolling position of the display device may be guided.

A display apparatus includes a display panel including a plurality of pixels and configured to display an image; a housing module including a roller therein such that the display panel is configured to be wound on the roller to be housed in the housing module or unwound from the roller to extend from the housing module; a rolling module including a structure connected to the display panel and configured to wind or unwind the display panel according to a folding or unfolding of the structure; and a vibration device on the structure, the vibration device configured to vibrate the display panel in an unwound state.

Display apparatus

A display device includes: a display panel, a back cover which supports the display panel on a rear surface of the display panel; at least one flexible film which is electrically connected to one end of the display panel and is on one surface of the back cover; a printed circuit board which is electrically connected to the at least one flexible film and on one surface of the back cover; and a roller on which the display panel and the back cover are wound or unwound, the roller being configured by a first flat portion, a second flat portion, and a curved portion. When the display panel and the back cover are fully wound around the roller, the at least one flexible film corresponds to the first flat portion, and the printed circuit board corresponds to the second flat portion.

A disclosed display device may include a display panel including a plurality of sub-pixels, and a back cover configured to support the display panel and configured be wound or unwound along with the display panel. The display device may further include a base plate on a first surface of the back cover to support the back cover and a top cover on a second surface of the back cover opposite the first surface so that the back cover is between the base plate and the top cover. The top cover may be fixed to the back cover. The top cover may have a curved outer peripheral surface.

A disclosed display apparatus may include a display panel configured to display an image, and a first back cover at a rear surface of the display panel and supporting the display panel. The display apparatus may additionally include a roller configured to wind or unwind the display panel, and an adhesive part between the display panel and the first back cover and fixed to the roller.

A display device comprises a display panel and a back cover attached to the display panel. The back cover includes a first flexible area and a first supporting area adjacent to the first flexible area. The back cover includes a central area and an edge area at one or more lateral sides of the central area. The central area includes a plurality of first openings, and the edge area includes a plurality of second openings. The first flexible area includes a first sub-flexible area and a second sub-flexible area, the first sub-flexible area being between the first supporting area and the second sub-flexible area in a column direction. A distance between two adjacent second openings in the edge area of the first sub-flexible area is smaller than a distance between two adjacent second openings in the edge area of the second sub-flexible area.

A liquid crystal display device including polarizing films that polarize infrared-range light as well as visible-range light and being operated in a visible light mode and an infrared light mode is disclosed. The liquid crystal display device includes a liquid crystal panel, polarizing films attached to the top and bottom surfaces of the liquid crystal panel, and a backlight unit disposed under the liquid crystal panel. At least one of the polarizing films includes an infrared polarizing film or a polarizing film for both visible and infrared light.

Liquid crystal display device

Disclosed are a curved display device and a driving method thereof. The curved display device includes a flexible display panel, a bottom cover serving as a rear surface casing for the display panel, and at least one curvature control unit disposed on a rear surface of the bottom cover to control curvature of the bottom cover by applying tensile force to the rear surface of the bottom cover in a longitudinal direction of the bottom cover. The bottom cover is formed of a corrugated board including an intermediate layer provided with ridges, a first cover layer serving as a coating for an upper surface of the intermediate layer, and a second cover layer serving as a coating for a lower surface of the intermediate layer. The first cover layer has an opening configured to expose the intermediate layer to correspond to the curvature control unit.
