Disclosed herein is a device equipped with flash memory, which includes memory in which at least one program is recorded and a processor for executing the program. The memory includes flash memory including a data area and a backup area, and the program divides data into two or more segments depending on whether the data can be stored in a single page and stores the same in the data area. The first segment is stored in a page along with a segment number, indicating the sequential position of the divided data, a segment offset, indicating the number of pages between the pages in which the current segment and the next segment are stored, the size of a data file name, the size of the data, and the file name. At least one additional segment may be stored in another page along with the segment number and segment offset thereof.

Disclosed herein are an apparatus and method for authenticating an IoT device. The method, performed by the IoT device authentication apparatus, includes transmitting, by the IoT device authentication apparatus, a random number to the IoT device and encrypting, by the IoT device authentication apparatus, the random number using a previously registered first white-box cryptography value through a white-box cryptography method; generating, by the IoT device, a first device response value from a previously registered first device challenge value using a Physical Unclonable Function (PUF) and encrypting, by the IoT device, the random number, received from the IoT device authentication apparatus, using the first device response value; and performing, by the IoT device authentication apparatus, authentication of the IoT device by checking whether the random number encrypted using the white-box cryptography method matches the random number encrypted using the PUF, which is received from the IoT device.

Apparatus and method for controlling transmit power

Provided is a communication system for ultra wide band impulse communication, and more particularly, to a communication apparatus and method that can be used in a sensor network or a low-rate wireless personal area network. To be more specific, the present research suggests a transmitter employing multi-coded bi-orthogonal pulse position modulation/demodulation and a method thereof. The transmitter of the present research provides: a serial-to-parallel converter for convening L-bit serial data to be transmitted into parallel data by performing grouping on the L-bit serial data; a multi-coder for generating a multi-coded symbol by multiplying the parallel data by total L orthogonal codes of length N; a bi-orthogonal pulse position modulator for positioning the multi-coded symbol in a predetermined pulse period and performing biorthogonal pulse position modulation; and a pulse generator for multiplying an output signal of the bi-orthogonal pulse position modulator by a predetermined pulse and outputting an output signal.

Apparatus and method for ultra wide band communication based on multi-coded bi-orthogonal pulse position modulation

Provided is an ultra-wideband pulse generator using a digital scheme. The ultra-wideband pulse generator and a method for generating an ultra-wideband pulse therein can easily generate various ultra-wideband pulses having a random center frequency and bandwidth according to digital control schemes in a pulse-based ultra-wideband wireless communication system. The ultra-wideband pulse generator includes: a pulse waveform converting block for converting digital pulse waveform information on a desired ultra-wideband pulse into pulse waveform information having positive and negative signs; an unit pulse generating block for multiplying the converted pulse waveform information by a preset short-width pulse and amplifying the resulting pulses according to gain information of the desired ultra-wideband pulse; a pulse waveform arranging block for arranging the amplified pulses at predetermined delayed intervals; and a pulse waveform shaping block for summing the arranged pulses into a single pulse and integrating the single pulse to output the desired ultra-wideband pulse.

Provided is a radio communication system for ultra wideband (UWB) impulse communications and a radio communication apparatus and method thereof. The present patent provides a radio communication system that can minimize power consumption by eliminating a need for carrier detection and sharing transmission/reception time information in UWB impulse communications. The system includes a network coordinator; and one or more devices communicating on a superframe basis in subordination to the network coordinator. The devices perform data transmission/reception in predetermined time slots and then they are inactivated to thereby reduce power consumption.
