Methods for operating a device, a Bootstrap server and a network node are disclosed. The method for operating a device includes requesting a Bootstrap data object from a node reachable via the network, the Bootstrap data object including an identification of a device management server, receiving a Bootstrap data object from a node reachable via the network, configuring a data object on the device in accordance with the received Bootstrap data object, and requesting registration with the device management server identified in the received Bootstrap data object. Also disclosed are a device, a Bootstrap server and a network node.

Methods for operation of a device, bootstrap server and network node

Methods for operating a device and for managing bootstrapping of devices are disclosed. The method () for operating a device comprises computing () a derivative of a secret shared between the device and a server entity of a network, generating () a temporary bootstrap URI by combining at least a part of the computed derivative with a static bootstrap URI for the network, and sending () a bootstrap request to the temporary bootstrap URI. The method for managing bootstrapping of devices comprises generating temporary bootstrap URIs corresponding to devices operable to connect to a network, and updating a network DNS registry to map the generated temporary bootstrap URIs to the IP address of at least one of a bootstrap server instance reachable via the network and/or a bootstrap load balancer. Also disclosed are a device, a bootstrap load balancer, a bootstrap server, and a computer program.

Bootstrapping devices on a network

A standardised method is provided for enabling remote script execution on a constrained device. The method comprises transmitting a first Lightweight Machine-to-Machine, LWM2M, protocol message from a LWM2M protocol server to a LWM2M protocol client on the constrained device. A content of the first LWM2M message is such that the LWM2M protocol client has access to a script. The method also comprises transmitting information about execution of the script from the LWM2M protocol server to the LWM2M protocol client in a LWM2M protocol message.

Communications with constrained devices

A method performed by a first communication device, for identifying at least one second communication device each second communication device providing a respective semantic representation. The first communication device and a number of second communication devices operate in a communications network. The first communication device decides () a target semantic representation and decides () a threshold related to a tolerated semantic distance between a semantic representation and the target semantic representation. Methods and apparatus for facilitating real time multimedia communications

A method in a network node of a communication network configured to manage command messages from at least one Machine Type Communication, MTC, device manager intended for an MTC device, comprises receiving command messages from the at least one MTC device manager, step ().
