This application provides bandwidth indication methods and communication apparatuses and can be applied, for example, in a wireless local area network supporting IEEE 802.11be standard. In an example method, an access point generates a physical layer protocol data unit (PPDU), where a transmission bandwidth of the PPDU is divided into a plurality of segments, the PPDU includes a universal signal (U-SIG) field carried on a segment, the U-SIG field includes a bandwidth field, and the bandwidth field indicates a channel bandwidth of a resource unit allocated to a station parked in the segment. The access point sends the PPDU to the station.

Bandwidth indication method applied in wireless local area network and communication apparatus

This application provides a resource unit combination indication method and a communications apparatus. The method includes: determining a physical layer protocol data unit PPDU, where the PPDU includes a signal field, the signal field includes a resource unit allocation subfield and a combination indication corresponding to the resource unit allocation subfield, the resource unit allocation subfield indicates a plurality of resource units, and the combination indication indicates combination information of the plurality of resource units; and sending the PPDU. The method provided in this application can support one or more users in transmitting data by using a plurality of contiguous or discontiguous RUs, and indicate a combination status of the plurality of RUs to the user.

Resource unit combination indication method and communications apparatus

This application provides data transmission methods and apparatuses, to introduce a buffer status report (BSR) mechanism through multi-link (ML) cooperation, to improve performance of scheduling a station by an ML device. In an example method, a multi-link transmit end determines BSR signaling sent to a multi-link receive end, where the BSR signaling can enable the multi-link receive end to schedule a station of the multi-link transmit end over one or more links. Further, the multi-link transmit end sends the B SR signaling to the multi-link transmit end over the one or more links. This introduces a BSR mechanism through ML cooperation.

The method includes: determining an aggregated physical layer protocol data unit (A-PPDU), where the A-PPDU includes at least two PPDUs belonging to different protocols, the A-PPDU includes a first sequence, the first sequence includes N segments of subsequences, any of the N segments of subsequences is obtained by performing phase rotation on a high efficiency-long training field (HE LTF) sequence and/or an extreme high throughput-long training field (EHT LTF) sequence based on a phase rotation parameter corresponding to the HE LTF sequence and/or a phase rotation parameter corresponding to the EHT LTF sequence, N phase rotation parameters corresponding to the N segments of subsequences include at least one phase rotation parameter whose value is −1, and N is a positive integer greater than or equal to 2; and sending the A-PPDU.

In an example method, a resource unit allocation subfield in a trigger frame includes a frequency band range indication and a resource unit indication. The resource unit indication is used to indicate a multiple resource unit (MRU) allocated to a station. The frequency band range indication is used to indicate a frequency band range in which a resource unit (RU) in the MRU is located. For example, the frequency band range indication is used to indicate 80 MHz in which a smallest RU in the MRU is located. In an information transmission method, a sending device sends a data frame to a receiving device. The data frame occupies a transmission resource block, a bandwidth occupied by the transmission resource block is greater than 160 MHz, and the data frame comprises resource unit RU allocation information. The sending device determines indication information based on a resource block size indicated by the RU allocation information and a location of a 160 MHz channel within the bandwidth occupied by the transmission resource block, with the 160 MHz channel having more data tones in the transmission resource block. The sending device determines a response resource block based on the indication information and the RU allocation information, and then receives an acknowledgment frame for the data frame from the receiving device on the response resource block.
