An operation method of a proximity sensor comprises: controlling a light-emitting element by a processing circuit. Such control includes a plurality of light source on and light source off operations. An optical sensor receives light and outputs a sensing signal corresponding to the intensity of the light. The processing circuit computes the sensing signal to produce a sensing result. The plurality of light source on and light source off operations includes a group having two light sources on operations and two light sources off operations. The two light sources on operations in the group or the two light sources off operations in the group are performed consecutively. In this way, the ambient light components of the light source on and off operations may cancel out each other to reduce the ambient light components contained in the sensing results.

Operation method of proximity sensor

A light sensor and control method thereof, which controls the light sensor comprising a first light emitted element, a second light emitted element, a first light sensing element and a control circuit. The light wavelength of the second light emitted element is greater than the light wavelength of the first light emitted element. The control circuit is coupled to the first and second light elements and the first light sensing element. When the display of an electronic device is in a light-up status, the control circuit switches on the first light emitted element to emit light; when the display of the electronic device is in a light-off status, the control circuit switches on the second light emitted element to emit light. Thus, it will prevent from the influence to the image of the display, and obtained the better sensing ability.

Light sensor and control method thereof

Disclosed is a proximity sensor operating method used in a proximity sensor comprising a light-emitting device. The method comprises: in a standby mode, when an output of the proximity sensor is a first sensing state, driving a driving current of the light-emitting device to comprise a first driving current; when the proximity sensor is triggered, a check mode is entered, the proximity sensor still outputs the first sensing state, and the driving current is switched to comprise a second driving current larger than the first driving current; and in the check mode, when the length of time/number of times of triggering the proximity sensor is larger than or equal to a threshold length/number, the output of the proximity sensor switches to the second sensing state, and returning to the standby mode in which the driving current comprises the first driving current.

Proximity sensor operating method and proximity sensor applying the method

The present application relates to a method for operating sensing signals and the circuit thereof. An analog-to-digital converter first processes the input signal having the most significant bit (MSB DATA) data at least once. Afterwards, the analog-to-digital converter processes the input signal having the least significant bit (LSB) data and the MSB data and sums all the input signals. Thereby, the process steps of the analog-to-digital converter can be simplified and the processing time can be shortened.

Operation method with reducing quantization error and circuit thereof

A light sensing device includes a substrate, a plurality of light sensing elements and a cover. The plurality of light sensing elements are disposed on the substrate for sensing light. The cover is utilized for sheltering the plurality of light sensing elements, wherein the cover includes a hole for passing the light. A set of the plurality of light sensing elements is selected to be enabled according to a location of the hole relative to the plurality of light sensing elements.
