A diffractive optical element and method for fabricating the diffractive optical element are provided. The diffractive optical element includes a substrate, a first diffractive structure layer and a second diffractive structure layer. The substrate has a first surface and a second surface opposite to the first surface. The first diffractive structure layer is disposed on the first surface of the substrate. The second diffractive structure layer is disposed on the second surface of the substrate. In the method for fabricating the diffractive optical element, at first, the substrate is provided. Then, a first glue material layer/first semiconductor layer is formed and patterned on the first surface of the substrate. Thereafter, a second glue material layer/second semiconductor layer is formed and patterned on the second surface of the substrate.

Diffractive optical element and method for fabricating the diffractive optical element

An optical element including a first substrate, a second substrate, a first optical film, a second optical film, and a spacer is provided. The first optical film is disposed on the first substrate and has a first surface and a plurality of first optical microstructures. The first optical microstructures are disposed on the first surface. The second optical film is disposed on the second substrate and has a second surface and a plurality of second optical microstructures. The second surface is opposite to the first surface. The second optical microstructures are disposed on the second surface. The orthogonal projection of the first optical microstructures on the first substrate does not overlap with the orthogonal projection of the second optical microstructures on the first substrate. The spacer is disposed between the first substrate and the second substrate. A wafer level optical module adopting the optical element is also provided.

Optical element and wafer level optical module

An optical element including a substrate, a first optical film and a second optical film. The first optical film and the second optical film are disposed on at least one side of the substrate and are both formed on the substrate. The first optical film has a first surface facing away from the substrate and a plurality of first optical microstructures disposed on the first surface. The second optical film has a second surface facing away from the substrate and a plurality of second optical microstructures disposed on the second surface. The orthogonal projection of the first optical microstructures on the substrate does not overlap the orthogonal projection of the second optical microstructures on the substrate. A wafer level optical module adopting the optical element is also provided.

The optical component includes a first substrate, a first diffractive layer formed on the first substrate, a second substrate, a second diffractive layer formed on the second substrate, and a bonding material disposed between the first substrate and the second substrate and connecting the first substrate and the second substrate. The second diffractive layer is disposed opposite to the first diffractive layer, and both the first diffractive layer and the second diffractive layer are located between the first substrate and the second substrate. A gap is formed between the first diffractive layer and the second diffractive layer.

Optical element including at least two diffractive layers

The present invention provides a projector including a laser module and a lens module, wherein the lens module includes a plurality of lens and a plurality of diffractive optical elements. In the operations of the projector, the laser module is arranged to generate at least one laser beam; each of the lenses is arranged to receive one of the at least one laser beam to generate a collimated laser beam; and the diffractive optical elements correspond to the lenses, respectively, and each of the diffractive optical elements is arranged to receive the collimated laser beam from the corresponding lens to generate an image. The images generated by the diffractive optical elements form a projected image of the projector. By using the projector of the present invention, the projected image may have higher resolution or field of view that is advantageous for the 3D sensing system.

A head-mounted display including a display module is provided. The display module includes a light source configured to provide a light beam and a combiner disposed on a transmission path of the light beam. The combiner includes a plurality of reflective elements spaced apart from each other and obliquely disposed. A maximum width of each of the plurality of reflective elements along an oblique direction thereof is less than 4 mm and greater than 10 &#x3bc;m.

An optical device including a Vertical-Cavity Surface-Emitting Laser (VCSEL) light source and a lens array is provided. The VCSEL light source is configured to emit light with at least one light dot. The lens array is configured to receive light emitting from the VCSEL light source and then project a structured light. The structured light includes a dot pattern having number of light dots. Plural convex lenses are arranged along a first surface of the lens array. The convex lenses are configured to generate the light dots of the dot pattern.

Optical device

The present invention provides a projecting apparatus for a 3D sensing system. The projecting apparatus comprises: at least a light source and a patterning unit. The at least a light source is utilized for emitting beams with different wavelengths. The patterning unit is utilized for receiving the beams and imposing at least a pattern on the beams to generate a structure light with higher resolution.
