An image processing device and a method thereof are provided. In the method, an original image and a corresponding depth image are received, wherein the depth image includes a plurality of depth values, and the depth values indicate depth of field of a plurality of blocks in the original image respectively. Further, each of the blocks is processed to obtain a corresponding smoothness and/or sharpness effect according to each of the depth values. Thereby, a stereoscopic sensation of the original image can be enhanced.

A multi-depth-of-field 3D-display image processing method is provided. An input image is divided into a foreground and a background signal, resolutions of the foreground and the background signals are compressed into half, the foreground and the background signals with half resolution are synthesized into a relay image to be displayed at a first and a second side of the relay image respectively, and the background signal of the relay image is reversed towards the other side. The relay image is then input to a play device, and a processing circuit reads a forward pixel data and a backward pixel data simultaneously and provides the data to a front and a back panel respectively. The processing circuit magnifies the first side of the front panel and the back panel into a full screen picture towards a predetermined direction, so as to output a full picture 3D image.

The present invention discloses a super-resolution method for image display. The method comprises: receiving a low resolution image; dividing the low resolution image into a plurality of regions; finding high resolution patches in a pre-trained database; pasting the high resolution patches back to the plurality of regions by puzzle-form process or oblique-form process and computing the compatibility utilizing a two-dimensional hidden Markov model process; and generating a super-resolution image.

Super-resolution method for image display

An image processing device and a method thereof are provided. In the image processing method, an adjusting value is computed according to a pixel of a current image and a plurality of reference pixels nearby. In addition, a weighted coefficient is computed according to a gray-scale difference between the pixel of the current image and a pixel of a previous image. Further, a weighted adjusting value is computed according to the adjusting value and the weighted coefficient. Besides, the pixel of the current image is adjusted according to the weighted adjusting value to generate a pixel of an output image. Thereby, the current image is adjusted adaptively to increase the quality of the output image.

Image processing device and method thereof

An image processing method is provided. The image processing method includes obtaining a least significant bit (LSB) associated with a pixel block. Further, two bits are reduced from a bit number of each of the pixels of the pixel block. Thereafter whether to carry the pixel or not is determined according to the LSB. When the LSB is 01 or 11, the carry manners of each pixel of the pixel block in two consecutive frames are asymmetric one to another. Further, under the conditions of when the LSB is 01 and 11, respectively, the carry manners of the pixels of the pixel block mutually compensate. Therefore, the display performance of a display is improved.

Image processing method

A dynamic contrast enhancement circuit (DCE circuit) includes a grayscale statistical unit, an operation unit and a transformation unit. Wherein, the grayscale statistical unit receives a frame and divides the grayscale distribution of the frame into a plurality of statistical intervals to count the number of pixels of every statistical interval and obtains a plurality of statistical values. When one of the statistical values is greater than a threshold value, the operation unit would adjust every the statistical value according to the difference value between the statistical value exceeding the threshold value and the threshold value. In this way, the transformation unit is able to produce a transformation data according to the adjusted statistical values, so as to perform a DCE processing on the frame.
