A pixel unit, a method for controlling the pixel unit, and a display apparatus having the same are provided. The display apparatus includes a driving circuit and a plurality of pixel units. Each of the pixel unit includes a switch circuit and an energy storage circuit. The energy storage circuit has a first end, a second end, and a third end. The first end is coupled to the switch circuit. The second end is electrically connected to the driving circuit so that the drive circuit is able to provide a first voltage to the second end. The third end is electrically connected to the driving circuit so that the driving circuit is able to provide a second voltage and a third voltage to the third end before the first voltage transits. There is a difference between the second voltage and the third voltage in order to generate a voltage oscillation with in the pixel unit. Therefore, the problem of color washout can be solved.

Pixel unit, method for controlling the pixel unit, and display apparatus comprising the same

A display panel and a color filter substrate thereof are provided. The display panel includes a first substrate, an alignment structure set, a second substrate, a pixel electrode, and a liquid crystal layer. The alignment structure set includes a first and a second alignment units disposed on the upper electrode. The first alignment unit is different from the second alignment unit. The pixel electrode is formed on the second substrate and includes a first electrode and a second lower electrode opposite to the first and second alignment units, respectively. A color filter may be disposed between the first substrate and the alignment structure layer to form a color filter substrate.

Color filter with different alignment structures and display panel using the same

A pixel structure disposed on a substrate and electrically connected to two scan lines and a data line is provided. The pixel structure includes a reflective electrode, a first transparent electrode, a second transparent electrode and a semiconductor layer. The first transparent electrode is electrically connected to the reflective electrode and is insulated from the second transparent electrode. The semiconductor layer has two first conductive regions, a second conductive region and two first channel regions, wherein the first conductive regions are respectively electrically connected to the reflective electrode and the second transparent electrode, the second conductive region is located between the first conductive regions and electrically connected to the data line, a part of the semiconductor layer overlapped with the scan lines is defined as first channel regions and each of the first channel regions is respectively electrically connected between the second conductive region and each first conductive region.

An LCD includes a backlight module, two polarizers, an LCD panel and a viewing-angle-adjustable device. The polarizers are disposed over the backlight module. The LCD panel and the first viewing-angle-adjusting device are disposed between the polarizers. The viewing-angle-adjusting device comprises a first substrate, a first electrode, a liquid crystal layer, a second electrode and a second substrate. The first electrode is disposed on the first substrate. The liquid crystal layer is disposed on the first electrode. The second electrode and the second substrate are disposed on the liquid crystal layer. The first liquid crystal layer is sealed between the first substrate and the second substrate. The second electrode is disposed on the bottom surface of the second substrate.

Adjustable-viewing-angle liquid crystal display

A voltage detection system comprising a first circuit board, a second circuit board, and a voltage detection circuit. The voltage detection circuit comprises a first connection unit, a second connection unit, a resistor, and a voltage detection unit. Dummy lines of the first and second connection units are coupled in series. When lines of the first and second connection units are not aligned to lines of the first and second circuit boards, an entirety equivalent impedance of the dummy lines is decreased. When detecting that the entirety of equivalent impedance is decreased to be less than a predetermined value, the voltage detection unit enables a control signal.

Transflective liquid crystal display

A viewing-angle adjustable liquid crystal display includes a display panel and a data driver. The display panel includes several pixel units. Each pixel unit has a first sub-pixel and a second sub-pixel. The data driver provides a first driving voltage and a second driving voltage, respectively, to the first sub-pixel and the second sub-pixel. When the liquid crystal display is operated in the wide viewing-angle mode, the first and the second driving voltage of each pixel unit are substantially equal to a pixel voltage, while when the liquid crystal display is operated in the narrow viewing-angle mode, the first driving voltages corresponding to one portion of the pixel units and the second driving voltages corresponding to the other portion of the pixel units are substantially equal to a gray-level voltage.

Viewing-angle adjustable liquid crystal display and method for adjusting viewing-angle of the same

A viewing-angle adjustable liquid crystal display includes a display panel, a backlight unit, and a sidelight unit. The backlight unit is located under the sidelight unit, and the sidelight unit is disposed under the display panel. The sidelight unit includes a first sidelight source and a light-guide plate. The first sidelight source is disposed at one end of the light-guide plate. The displaying method includes providing direct light to the display panel in response to the narrow-viewing-angle-mode signal; and providing scattering light to the display panel in response to the wide-viewing-angel-mode signal.

Viewing-angle adjustable liquid crystal display and method for adjusting the same

A backlight module including a first light guide plate, a first light source, a second light guide plate, and a second light source. The first light guide plate includes a first side, a second side opposite to the first side, and a first surface with a micro-groove structure. The first light source is disposed on the first side of the first light guide plate. The second light guide plate is disposed on the first light guide plate, and includes a third side, a fourth side opposite to the third side, and a second surface with a micro-groove structure. The fourth side and the second side are located at the same side. The second light source is disposed on the fourth side of the second light guide plate.

Backlight module for 3D display device and method for displaying 3D images utilizing the same

The present invention provides a two-beam interference exposure system that can be simply adjusted by rotating only one mirror. By placing a half-wave plate in one of the interference arms and precisely scanning the relative fiber position, the present invention can expose true apodized fiber Bragg gratings in a single scan by simultaneously rotating the angle of the half-wave plate. By rotationally switching the fast and slow axes of the half-wave plate, the present invention can also expose n-phase-shifted fiber grating by the same system.
