An electric power system for an electric bus includes a battery assembly, a leakage detection device, and a control device. The battery assembly includes a plurality of series-connected battery packs and a plurality of switch elements, wherein each of the battery packs includes a positive terminal, a negative terminal, and a battery cell module, and the battery packs include a first battery pack and a second battery pack; the positive terminal of the first battery pack and the negative terminal of the second battery pack are electrically connected to a load of the electric bus, and at least one of the positive terminal of the first battery pack and the negative terminal of the second battery pack is electrically connected to the leakage detection device, which outputs a leakage signal when a leakage is detected on an electric wire connected between the battery assembly and the load.

A leakage detection device includes at least one optical coupler, a voltage divider, an analog-to-digital converter and a processing unit. Wherein, the at least one optical coupler is adapted to output an electrical signal according to a leakage degree of a DC power supply. The electrical signal is divided by the voltage divider to be output to the analog-to-digital converter and converted into a digital signal. The processing is adapted to compare a digital value corresponding to the digital signal with a reference value and output a leak signal when a difference between the digital value and the reference value is greater than a predetermined difference. A battery pack includes a battery cell assembly, a switch element, and a control unit, wherein the control unit controls the switch element to switch off an electrical connection between the battery cell assembly and the load to block electric power to the load.

Leakage detection device and battery pack having the same

A battery pack includes a casing, a battery cell assembly, an encoder, and a monitoring unit; the battery cell assembly is disposed in the casing; the encoder is adapted to generate one of a plurality of types of encoding configurations, and includes an operating section which is adapted for a user to set one of the encoding configurations of the encoder manually; the monitoring unit is adapted to sense a state of the battery cell assembly and generate an identification code according to the encoding configuration of the encoder; wherein, the monitoring unit is further adapted to output a state signal which includes the aforementioned identification code. Whereby, the battery pack of the present invention would be a universal battery pack.

An electric power system and a management method thereof. The electric power system includes a plurality of battery packs and a battery management apparatus. Each of the battery packs includes a casing, a battery cell assembly disposed in the casing, an encoder, and a monitoring unit, wherein the encoder could generate one of a plurality of encoding configurations and has an operating section which is adapted to be manually set the encoding configuration by a user; the monitoring unit senses a state of the battery cell assembly and generates an identification code according to the encoding configuration of the encoder, and outputs a state signal including the identification code. The battery management apparatus receives the state signal of each of the monitoring unit and obtain the state of the corresponding battery cell assembly according to the identification code of the received state signal.

Provided is a waste heat recovery apparatus including a first heat exchanger, a reformer and a reformer feed pre-heater sequentially disposed on or in the waste gas exhaust pipe from the upstream to the downstream thereof, wherein the waste gas temperature at the upstream of the waste gas exhaust pipe is higher than that at the downstream. In an embodiment, the reformer can be a hydrogen-generation reformer, and the generated hydrogen is introduced into the burning equipment for use. In such manner, the waste heat can be effectively utilized, and the carbon deposition issue inside the burning equipment can be fixed. A waste heat recovery method is also provided.
