A backlight module includes a bezel having at least one edge, a circuit board, one or more light emitting diodes connected to the circuit board for emitting light. Each light emitting diode has a light axis which is neither parallel nor vertical to the edge of the bezel. The backlight module utilizes a heat conductive block disposed between the bezel and the light emitting diode for transferring heat generated by the light emitting diode to the bezel.

An LED lighting device includes a circuit board, a plurality of LED units, a waterproof layer and a middle layer. The LED units are disposed on the circuit board by surface mounted way. The light beam emitted from the LED units emits from the light-emitting surface. The waterproof layer wraps the circuit board and the LED units. The middle layer is located between the light-emitting surface and the water-proof layer. The middle layer extends from a direction of the LED units being disposed on the circuit board so that the middle layer fully covers the light-emitting surface. The light beams passing through the light-emitting surface enters into the waterproof layer via the middle layer. Thereby, the middle layer is located between the LED units and the waterproof layer to make the color of the light beam be more uniform.

LED lighting device

An image display apparatus comprising a light guide plate, a light-emitting diode (LED), a first transparent substrate and a second transparent substrate is provided. Light generated from the LED is guided into the light guide plate through the edge thereof, and outwardly projected through the two opposite surfaces of the light guide plate. Thus, a pattern being disposed in front of the first transparent substrate or the second transparent substrate would be lighted up.

The heat dissipation structure of the backlight module of the present invention comprises a circuit board, a heat-conductive element (such as thermally conductive glue) and a light-emitting diode (LED) chip, wherein the circuit board has an electric circuit layer and a heat conductive layer respectively formed on two opposite surfaces thereof. The circuit board has a plurality of through holes penetrating through the electric circuit layer and the heat-conductive layer of the circuit board, wherein each of the through holes is filled with heat-conductive material. The heat-conductive element is placed on the circuit layer and covers the through holes, and the LED chip is disposed on the heat-conductive element and is electrically connected to the electric circuit layer.

Heat dissipation structure of backlight module

A backlight module and a flat panel display using the same. The backlight module comprises a light source device and light guide plate adjacent to the light source device. The light source device comprises a high intensity discharge lamp, a reflector having an opening and surrounding the high intensity discharge lamp, and a cover covering the opening. The high intensity discharge lamp radiates so brilliant that it can be a single light source. When single light source is failed, it is convenient to solely exchange a new one at once. The flat panel display comprises the backlight module and a display panel disposed over the light guide plate. The light source device and the light guide plate are applied to the flat panel display so that the replacement of the light source device for the flat panel display becomes convenient.

White-light emitting devices and methods for manufacturing the same. The white-light emitting device emits white light comprising a first color component with first wavelength, a second color component with a second wavelength, and a third color component with a third wavelength. The first wavelength is shorter than the second wavelength. The second wavelength is shorter than the third wavelength. The white-light emitting device comprises a baseboard. A first light emitting device emitting the first color component and a second light emitting device emitting a second color component are disposed on the baseboard. A transparent passivation layer with a substantially planar surface is formed on the baseboard. A second light emitting device is disposed on the transparent passivation layer. The second light emitting device emits the third color component which is responsive to the first and the second color components.

White-light emitting devices and methods for manufacturing the same

The backlight module includes a reflective sheet, at least one point light unit with a dish lens on the reflective sheet. The dish lens has a light-permeable surface formed on the bottom of the dish lens, a light-reflecting surface formed on top of the dish lens, two smooth curve surfaces formed on two side of the dish lens for connecting the light-reflecting surface and the light-permeable surface, and a light-scattering surface on the center of the light-reflecting surface. The profile of the light-permeable surface and the light-reflecting surface are a substantially concave shape. The profile of the light-scattering surface is a substantially convex shape. A light emitting diode (LED) device includes a light emitting semiconductor device and a dish lens encapsulating the light emitting semiconductor device. The dish lens allows the light beams emitted by the LED to diffuse more uniformly, resulting in a more uniform backlight emission.

A backlight module for a liquid crystal display includes a reflective sheet, at least one light source above the reflective sheet, and a lens above the light source. The lens has a light-permeable surface at the bottom, a light-reflecting surface formed on the top of the lens, two side surfaces connecting the light-reflecting surface and the light-permeable surface, and a diffusion surface formed at the center of the light-reflecting surface. Profiles of the light-permeable surface and the light-reflecting surface are concave. The diffusion surface is convex. The lens of the invention allows light emitted by the light source to diffuse more uniformly.
